What makes this a great opportunity?

The Global Commercial IT Lead for Suntory Global Spirits is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and driving the Commercial IT and Data strategy across the organization. This individual will lead the development and execution of strategic technology roadmaps in core commercial areas, including Sales, Distribution, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), and Trade Marketing. The leader will work collaboratively with global and regional stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making and digital transformation in commercial operations.

Role Responsibilities

1. Strategy Development and Execution
• Define and own the Commercial IT and Data strategy, ensuring alignment with Suntory's global business objectives.

• Develop strategic technology roadmaps to advance capabilities in Sales, Distribution, RGM, Trade Marketing, and related commercial areas.
• Drive the adoption of innovative technology solutions to enhance commercial excellence and competitiveness.

2. Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Regional Presidents, Commercial teams, and the Commercial Excellence organization globally.
• Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior business leaders, ensuring IT initiatives support and drive business goals.
• Foster collaboration and alignment between IT and business units to deliver impactful technology solutions.

3. Team Leadership and Talent Development
• Build and lead a high-performing, globally distributed Commercial IT team.
• Attract, develop, and retain top talent to support the organization's growth and innovation agenda.
• Create a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability within the team.

4. Execution and Operational Excellence
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, driving execution with a focus on measurable outcomes.
• Ensure the successful delivery of Commercial IT initiatives, leveraging agile and other modern methodologies.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of technology investments in achieving commercial objectives.

5. Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Identify emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation in commercial processes and customer engagement.
• Promote a data-driven culture, enabling advanced analytics and insights to support decision-making.
• Continuously improve IT operations and processes to enhance efficiency and agility.

• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of Sales, Distribution, RGM, and Trade Marketing processes and their technology needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on commercial and data strategies.
• Proven experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
• Deep understanding of digital transformation in commercial functions.
