Role Responsibilities
  • Unloading all freight received in bottling department.
  • Operate forklift efficiently and safely.
  • Handle drums of various materials weighting approximately 600 lbs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and keep supply section neat and orderly.
  • Revert to Labor Pool when not performing duties of job.
  • Must make up knockdowns and maintain inventory of knockdowns.
  • Must be able to operate stapling machine.
  • Must hand stack any cases requested by supervisor.
  • Must be able to operate fork trucks.
  • Must be able to feed lines.
  • Must perform janitorial duties as needed.
  • Run baler machine.
  • Break out broken cases and make up new cases.
  • Shall perform sanitation duties to keep the area neat and clean always.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
  • Safety is everyone's responsibility: Identify risks and report violations, near misses or injuries immediately
Additional Role Responsibilities
  • Average to above average attendance and performance/safety records
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly
  • The main job is the unloading of trucks and supplying cases to the bottling lines; but there are other duties that forklift drivers must perform. They are as follows:
  • Drivers must be able to load/unload trucks with various materials. Must be able to handle bulk glass with a forklift.
  • Drivers must store and load bales of recyclable material.
  • Drivers must maintain their truck lifts, such as checking water level, adding water if necessary. They must also keep supervisor informed as to mechanical condition of truck.
  • Drivers are required to observe all safety rules and regulations.
  • When implemented, Be able to utilize on board computer to perform SAP inventory functions.
  • Help receive and count all bottling supplies received into label room.
  • Keep supplies separated by part numbers, brand, age, proof, size, distillation, and any other distinct differences.
  • Calculate quantities of materials needed for production. Help carry supplies to bottling line and return them to storage as needed.
  • Keeps the area neat and orderly and in a manner pertaining to safety.
  • Adheres to and promotes quality, environmental, health and safety as one of the organization's business priorities.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Average to above average attendance and performance/safety records
  • PI Predictive Index Survey - evaluates behavioral traits (if required)
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)
  • Display a team work attitude
  • Demonstrate the ability to read, write, and comprehend English with understanding as it relates to job tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must be able to perform math functions
Physical Requirements
  • Be able to physically perform all aspects of the position. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Lift 40 lbs. on a constant basis and 85 lbs. on an occasional basis, from floor to shoulder height. When situations arise where you are required to lift more than 50 lbs., It is recommended you use any Company provided equipment that you are qualified to operate, or the lift should be performed by two employees.
  • Climb a minimum of two flights of stairs in succession
  • Able to bend and stoop.
  • Lift and stack boxes up to 100 lbs. in weight to normal pallet height.
  • Must be able to work in extremely hot, dusty conditions.
  • Ability to report to work and stay for duration of the day.
