Role Responsibilities
Quality in Logistic and Distribution Network:
- Manage Quality requirements and Gemba assessments on warehouses and 3PLs in North America region, supporting Rest of World where required.
- Increase awareness and training on Quality requirements in warehouses/3PLs, special focus on rework activities and new requirements on e-commerce and RTDs.
- Manage the required Quality approval of new 3PLs/warehouses, by pre-approving the sites, perform on site approval audits and manage the on-going improvement plans.
- Manage the traceability global standards and assist in implementing in all warehousing ensuring full traceability is in place to the first paying customer
- Collaborate with the Global Quality team in the management and creation of Logistics and Distribution KPIs, identify trends, Potential Quality risks and improvement opportunities.
- Manage RTD products Shelf-Life Expiry Date process with warehouses, ensuring FIFO is a way of working
- Manage on all distribution complaints from North America warehouse and 3PL's effectively ensuring investigations are performed and identify root cause with corrective actions
- Report KPI's in alignment with Global Quality KPI's, continually improve processes using data from KPI's
- Partner with peers in all regions to ensure continued collaboration and a consistent global focus
- Manage repack activities at warehouses, auditing these activities, provide training on Quality issues, create a Quality network with these teams. Important focus on all repacks, VAP and rework processes in 3PLs, scheduled visits, to ensure quality standards are adhered to.
- Carry out Gemba assessment with the Salesforce tool, in distributors and retailers, if necessary, to improve the quality of our products and processes in a proactive way, sharing best practices and kaizen activities.
- Collaborate with Planning, commercialization, Global Quality packaging team in the development of VAPs, e-commerce packaging specifications to be used in the 3PLs, identification of improvement opportunities and collaborate in their implementation.
Quality Standards:
- Collaboration in the creation and development of new Quality Standards, update and continually improve existing standards.
- Annual Quality audits in North America warehouses versus min. Requirement.
- Understand and collaborate in the development and implementation of Quality standards in the e-commerce/VAPs/RTDs warehousing requirements Globally and align it with global requirements.
Quality claims:
Facilitate communication on Quality issues with distributors using Salesforce as data capture:
- Support the corrective actions related Quality claims associated to warehouse activities.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Quality on Distributor complaints.
Qualifications
• Three years' experience in a manufacturing quality or equivalent. Food industry, especially beverage alcohol is a plus. FMCG company experience a plus.
• Technical expertise for Packaging and Logistic and Distribution area.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 22000. Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding and application Lean Manufacturing knowledge, and:
o Formal risk assessment (example FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, DMAIC)
• Need to be comfortable working without close supervision and with remote locations.
• Demonstrated internal auditing skills as Certified ISO auditor.
• Must be able to travel up to 50% including:
o Plant locations, Warehousing and 3PL's in North America
• Must have strong written communication and organizational skills across multiple cultures globally.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Related Science or related degree
• Formal Quality Certification is a significant plus
