Mission of Role

Collaborate with maintenance and vendors to provide consistent inventory needs. Ensure accuracies of inventory with system through counts and data.

Role Responsibilities
  • Order and receive MRO parts in computerized management system (Currently SAP)
  • Placement of inventory in a controlled area and individual locations
  • Discuss storeroom status and/or projects in weekly staff meetings
  • Maintain and monitor min/max levels of MRO and plant operations supply materials
  • Issuance of materials to union and non-union plant personnel with record keeping in SAP
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve their job and area with an emphasis on safety.
  • Development, implementation, and display of storeroom key performance indicators
  • Work with effected associates to create best practices related to the stock room
Additional Responsibilities
  • Cycle count process for determination of material accuracies
  • Development of daily standard work practices
  • Support non-standard purchases from inception to completion with notification of status to affected employees
  • Work with supply vendors to ensure best pricing and relationship expectations are met
  • Assist associates with part look-up and identification.
  • Work proactively and collaboratively with peers instilling a "We over me" attitude
  • Have regular meetings with the maintenance manager and finance department to understand and maintain storeroom spend
  • Model a behavior that invites collaboration with their peers and drives a "what if" attitude for imagining new possibilities for the team.
  • Any other responsibilities/tasks that may be determined necessary by the company
Qualifications
  • An inviting personality who is able to work well as a team member
  • A safety minded individual who is also concerned wit quality and environmental impacts
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED is required some college experience is considered a plus (associate degree or higher preferred)
  • Previous experience with SAP is a must
  • Experience in shipping/receiving
  • Able to work on their feet for long periods of time
  • Able to lift periodic loads of up to 50lbs
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of programs
  • Preference given to those with previous maintenance and manufacturing experience
