Overview
We're looking for an established performer with a strong sense of ownership, who consistently applies software and data engineering principles to business contexts, proactively identifies inefficiencies in existing systems, able to lead well-defined projects or work through ambiguity to deliver solution and projects through active collaboration within and across teams. On this team, you will build out data pipelines to ingest and process myriad data points from our ~800K+ customers, employees, and solar & battery systems. This data is used across our company to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction, as well as, business and employee satisfaction and performance.
Responsibilities
- Professional development of a given feature, work with technical leadership on defining best practices, and lead projects from technical inception to completion, collaborating when needed with various members of the team.
- Delight consumers by ensuring they have the data they need to inform decisions, where and when they need it.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, SQL queries/views, and data transformations.
- Ensure the quality of data and jobs, by ensuring thorough testing procedures are followed.
- Design, build, implement and revise business logic and data models that work toward a single source of truth for each metric and dimension used across the enterprise.
- Ensure the integrity of data pipelines by monitoring job execution for timeliness and completeness.
- Other development lifecycle responsibilities as needed, including design discussions, code review, etc.
Qualifications
- Advanced ability to write SQL.
- 3+ years' experience maintaining systems that collect, transform, and visualize data.
- Experience using various flavors of databases, Snowflake, BigQuery, Postgres, MongoDB, Oracle, Dynamodb, etc.
- Experience in software solutions to automate data source, visualization and analytics products.
- Experience implementing data analytics, visualization tools and programs using Tableau, Grafana, Google Sheets and/or similar.
- Experience with data integration and modeling tools such as Fivetran, dbt, Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, etc.
- Experience using Git version control, including branching, merging/rebasing, and pull requests as a part of a >3 person team.
- Experience in Agile/SCRUM Software Development Process
- Bachelors in related field with minimum 3 years of engineering experience or equivalent experience
Bonus
- Experience with the Python language.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience with building APIs.
- Experience with Github Actions / Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
188,520.49 to 226,224.59
