  • We are delighted to present a new opportunity to join the Stryker office of Venlo (Netherlands) as a Warehouse Specialist - Subject Matter Expert. The Warehouse Specialist executes a reliable workflow in order to contribute to a highly effective and efficient logistic processing to support our customer's needs. Supported by an ETP system and in accordance to the QMS SOP', the Warehouse Specialist supports the Warehouse Supervisor in driving continuous improvements within the Warehouse operation.

Key Activities & Accountabilities

The Warehouse Specialist - Subject Matter Expert is responsible for:

Strengthening the base:

  • Responsible together with LS Manager for mapping LS area requirements in terms of capacity to ensure a flexible and modular department required to support business growth, new products & services and mergers & acquisitions;
  • Create and maintain the database on LS Quality metrics reflecting the 'First time right';
  • Create a solid process around quality control together with LS Manager, Supervisor and department specialists which ensures a continuous improvement and issue preventing culture;
  • Advise and assist on connecting with internal stakeholders on service levels and commitments and providing input to SLA's;
  • Review LS processes on current capacity and performance and contribute to innovational initiatives;

New business:

  • Participate in new projects and requests by advising on timelines, risks, opportunities and requirements;
  • Support with integrating new business by benchmarking it with the Service Portfolio and advising on directions keeping in mind: costs, quality, service;

YOUR PROFILE

  • Graduate /MBO+ level with logistical background; a post-graduate qualification in Warehousing or Logistics would be a plus;
  • A minimum of 4-5 years Warehousing and / or Operations
  • Working experience in a LS/Quality environment is a plus;
  • Solid understanding of warehousing in terms of set-up, capacity planning and optimization;
  • Competent knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (preferably Oracle);
  • Experience of working in the Medical Devices industry would be a plus;
  • Experience in working in an ISO13485:2003 or comparable environment, proven experience on working in an environment where compliance with local regulations regarding health and safety, regulatory and hazardous materials, as well as internal policies and procedures is secured;
  • Fluent in English; both verbally and written. Dutch and German are a plus.

  • Lean / 6 sigma experience would be an asset. A drive for continuous improvements (based on clear KPI's) is a must and a proven track record in promoting and ensuring 5S is a plus.
