We are currently seeking a Software Test Engineer, Co-Op to join Stryker Endoscopy's Test team located in Burnaby, Canada.
What we do?
We partner closely with R&D to experiment with early prototypes and vet product designs throughout the design process. You will be responsible for design verification: from developing and maintaining test protocols, and test execution to documenting results in test reports that are included in regulatory submissions. Communication and coordination are essential skills as you will share and/or coordinate samples, test execution, and test results with the team lead.
What you will do?
- Demonstrated knowledge of understanding the Software test discipline.
- Applies engineering judgement in a subset of their area to root cause defects and develop test methods.
- Develops repeatable test methods of simple complexity for a well-defined requirement.
- Has a high-level understanding of the functionality of the product(s).
- Gathers feedback from users and technical leaders during test protocol development.
- Demonstrates high level of understanding on the Design Controls, regulatory standards and guidance applicable to specific test protocols.
- Responsible for performing test execution and developing test results following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Regularly updates Test Lead and/or Functional Manager with status of tasks.
What we need:
- Working towards Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science (or other related) and/or Electrical Engineering with 0-4 years of previous technical experience
- Excellent analytical skills
- Exhibit initiative, dependability, independence, motivation, and be detail-oriented
Work from Home: Occasional
Travel Percentage: 20%
