What You Will Do:

This position provides reliability engineering technical skills for new technology, new product development, and sustaining activities. Plan, coordinate, and execute against project schedules including release to manufacturing. Define and manage reliability activities with internal and external design/manufacturing partners and suppliers. Define and execute proactive reliability risk identification and evaluation from component to system-level. Drive any failure root cause analysis and contribute to risk mitigations and reliability improvement efforts.

  • Reliability Analysis: Conduct in-depth reliability analysis on existing systems or products to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement. Utilize statistical methods and reliability modeling techniques to assess and predict the performance of critical components.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and identify root causes of failures or performance issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions. Implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate potential future failures.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and execute reliability testing protocols to validate the performance and durability of products or systems. Collaborate with testing teams to ensure that reliability requirements are met during product development.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large sets of data to extract meaningful insights related to system reliability and performance. Develop and maintain reliability metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall reliability and performance of products or systems. Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement design changes based on reliability findings.
  • Documentation and Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to reliability engineering activities, including analysis reports, testing procedures, and design improvements. Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure reliability considerations are integrated into the product development lifecycle. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior reliability engineers.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Materials Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in reliability engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification is a plus.
  • Understanding of the technology, materials and failure mechanisms associated with major electronic and electro-mechanical components/materials and associated packaging.
  • Able to develop reliability specifications for component, subsystem, and system and familiar with industry reliability standards such as JEDEC, IPC, IEC standards.
  • Technical writing skills and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Understanding of Physics-of-Failure (PoF) approach and its practical applications in both analytical and empirical assessment of product reliability risks.


  • $84k - $134k salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
