What you will do-

  • Develop and direct team resources. Includes recruiting, coaching/development of team to meet operations/customer needs (e.g.

training, creation of development plans), directly or indirectly managing activities of manufacturing engineers, technicians, and interns (and contractors, if applicable), and evaluates performance based on metrics/goals/priorities. Acts as a mentor to other engineering managers.

  • Responsible for complying with all quality standards and requirements through the development, maintenance, and application of engineering principles and practices.
  • Development and prioritizing goals which align with operations and customer needs.
  • Responsible for prioritizing and managing projects of team to ensure they align with Stryker goals and are completed on time.
  • Responsible for resolving product/process issues and maintaining the validated state of existing manufacturing products/processes.
  • Responsible for directing and supporting continuous process improvement, which includes Lean, 5S, process/equipment innovation, and other initiatives.
  • Ensures effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimal cost.
  • Responsible for submitting periodic reports on areas of responsibility to both manager and senior level leadership.
  • Provide/coordinate technical support and manufacturing issue resolution.
  • Effectively communicate and interact internally and externally with department leadership of Quality, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, R&D Engineering, Customer Service, Marketing, Sales, as well as external customers and suppliers
  • Manages department budgets, develops and initiates capital needs.
  • Responsible for team complying with company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as director or assigned by manager.

What you need-

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
  • 2+ years related experience required
  • Basic computer skills required (word processing, spreadsheets, database)
  • Ability to develop and follow systematic troubleshooting procedures to address tool and equipment issues required
  • Experience with Engineering Change Orders/Justification and Assembly Procedure Change Orders - preferred
  • Experience with Development, Analysis and Implementation of Test Lab Tests/Support - preferred
  • Experience in the continuous process improvement and applying Lean Manufacturing techniques - preferred

The anticipated duration of this assignment will be until June 2026.
