The Job's Mission:

Sudden Cardiac Arrest occurs to millions of people per year worldwide, with no warning. Public access to Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) and Chest Compression Systems help to ensure that lifesaving technology is placed where it can do the most good (such as in homes, workplaces, facilities, communities, etc.) - empowering bystanders and Emergency Response Teams to save lives.

At Stryker, we are looking for a talented, highly motivated sales leader who will be responsible for driving our Medical Public Access business in Benelux and Nordics (Northern Europe). You will be responsible for the management of your sales area and the leadership of your sales team - enabling the growth of our AEDs and Chest Compression Systems, through Direct and Indirect Channel partnerships. Reporting directly to the Business Unit Director of Medical in Northern Europe, you will lead a highly driven sales team in managing distributor partners in the region. You will develop sales strategies to service the public access market, creating awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and further demand for Stryker's products and services. You will also foster deep and reliable relationships with channel partners and influence up to C Level in several markets.

Your key responsibilities:

  • As Regional Sales Manager, you will manage, lead, and motivate a high performing sales team of 2 direct reports - supporting and driving them strategically and tactically to accelerate business.
  • You will coach and develop your sales team to achieve their full potential.
  • You will exceed & deliver against the quarterly and yearly sales quota whilst managing capital and recurring revenue pipeline development alongside accurate forecasting vs. quota.
  • With your leadership, you will provide strategic direction and guidance to distributor partners in creating sales opportunities within the market. You will also oversee regular/quarterly business reviews with channel partners.
  • You will accompany important negotiations as well as larger product workshops together with your sales team.
  • You will nurture your relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) up to C level, key decision-makers (clinical, economic, etc.) and key parties in all accounts.
  • You will partner with the Marketing team to develop strategies to create awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and further demand for Stryker's products and services.
  • You will understand and utilize market dynamics to support business acceleration, taking a creative approach to new business development for both current and future technologies.
  • You will closely collaborate with enabling function teams such as finance, compliance, customer service, supply chain, etc. to ensure smooth order to cash process is maintained and our customers receive the highest levels of service.

What are we looking for?

  • You hold several years of experience in sales. Experience within commercial B2B, medical devices, indirect channel management or similar experiences would be an advantage.
  • You hold a degree in the fields of business administration, commerce, medical technology, sciences or any other relevant education.
  • Prior people management experience is not a must - provided that you are a successful senior sales professional with the right competencies/talents to take a next step in your career and lead, coach, motivate a Sales team.
  • You can demonstrate success in expanding a sales region and in delivering exceptional results.
  • You possess strong negotiation skills and persuasiveness, and your personality makes it easy for you to inspire and motivate others.
  • You possess sense of responsibility, organizational skills and commercial acumen with an analytical/strategic approach to business planning.
  • Impeccable ethics and integrity in ensuring the delivery of Stryker's mission of making healthcare better.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
  • You have a valid driver's license and you are located either in the Benelux or in the Nordics. Since this position requires customer interactions in the field, you have flexibility to travel in the region (travel percentage of 30-40%).
