The mission of the Financial Accountant is to ensure the accuracy, reliability and integrity of the company's books, records and financial reports (local and USGAAP).

Key activities & responsibilities
As a Financial Accountant your main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Performs accounting activities including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements
• Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles
• Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports
• Liaises with internal and external auditors
• Prepares and submits VAT declarations and other compliance filings
• Executing controls (SOX)
• Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects
• Supports Junior Accountants

Education & Experience
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent certification
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting (e.g., GL, A2R)

• Knowledge of USGAAP would be an advantage

• Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley Act and/or other internal control concepts

• Strong Excel skills
• Experience in ERP systems

Valuable Competencies
• Accustomed to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment: experience in a multinational firm or shared service center is a plus
• Energetic, team-oriented and proactive
• High level of honesty, commitment and responsibility
• Able to effectively communicate across different levels within the company
