Strava is looking for a Temporary Senior Product Researcher to support its Growth product teams through to the end of the year.
The ideal candidate can integrate insight throughout the development process and partner with product teams to increase Strava’s impact on its global community. As a subscription-based, consumer-facing business, building deep empathy with this community of athletes is essential for driving both long-term user happiness and long-term business impact.
About the Role:
- Contribute to all aspects of research efforts: scoping, recruiting, method selection, collection, analysis, and presentation.
- Lead projects at all stages of the development process: from exploratory/foundational research to evaluative testing.

About You:
- 5+ years experience with human-centered, qualitative research methodologies.
- Strong experience working across multiple growth or monetisation-focused teams and a proven ability to prioritise effectively across those teams.
- Detailed knowledge of research principles, methods, facilitation, and how qualitative research works in concert with quantitative data.
- Familiarity with common research tools (e.g. UserTesting.com, Qualtrics, etc.).
- Experience integrating multiple types of data (e.g. qualitative findings, market research, survey data, analytics, competitive landscape) into a single strategic point of view.
- Deft ability to synthesize, shape, and share insights to convey clear direction and drive both actionable design recommendations as well as impact on Strava’s athletes.
- Comfort in a fast-paced environment where speed, rigor and quality must be balanced to meet project and business needs.
- Capacity to creatively adapt methods and approaches to meet the unique constraints of a constantly evolving environment.
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) with empathy and passion, collaborative mindset, and ability to persuade and encourage project teams and stakeholders of the value of a people-centered design approach.
- Candidates will be asked to share their past work experience and project examples during the interview process for the role.
- Experience working within a startup or scaleup environment is preferred.
- This is a temporary position starting 18th September 2023 and ending on the 21st December 2023.
- Although the position is remote, working with teams in the US, candidates must be based in the UK.
*Compensation for this temporary role is £600 per day
