Who You Are:

You are an experienced Engineering Manager with a robust background in MarTech and Growth. You have a strong product mindset and are adept at working closely with Product Managers, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to drive visitor engagement and conversion. You are committed to high standards of code quality, technical SEO, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. What You Will Do:

• Domain Expertise
• Lead and mentor a team focused on the visitor side, working closely with marketing and e-commerce to enhance user engagement before conversion
• Guide your team in applying best practices in technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, A/B testing, and experimentation
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical learning within your team
• Delivery

• Ensure high standards of code quality, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members to elevate coding practices
• Oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery and effective task management

Communication

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders about project status and expectations
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to align team efforts with organizational objectives and product goals

Leadership

• Mentor and guide your team with regular code reviews, pair programming, one-on-one sessions, career and growth planning, and performance reviews

What You Bring to the Table: 

• Prior management experience; no first-time managers
• Strong product partnership experience with dedicated product managers
• Ability to guide, mentor, and develop the team's performance
• Experience with PHP (legacy), Next.js, React, Node, Python
• Familiarity with the Google stack, technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, Google Analytics, A/B testing, and experimentation
• Experience with billing plans and pricing
• Learning-oriented, emphasizing continuous learning for yourself and the team
• Strong ownership and accountability
• Attention to detail and a commitment to product quality

What We Bring to the Table:

• Competitive and fair compensation: We believe in fair pay--equal pay for equal work. For each title, we consistently apply competitive salary bands based on market data and benchmarks which are reviewed twice a year. What you’ve been paid before, fear of conflict, or willingness to negotiate does not play a part in determining your pay.
  • The annual base salary range for this position is $184,000 - $195,000. Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
• 401(k) retirement plan: We offer both a Traditional and Roth 401(k) with a company match.

• Paid parental leave: Welcoming new family members is exciting, but it can also be challenging. We offer twelve weeks paid leave for primary caregivers and four weeks for secondary caregivers. 
• Unlimited vacation: At Storyblocks we take vacation seriously. That means take the time off when you need it. Don’t worry about tracking hours or accounting for partial days. Typically, employees take about three or four weeks each year. Plus, two company-wide week breaks in July and December.
