About the Strategy Associate to the COO Position:


Strategy Associate to the COO is a highly visible role which serves as a business liaison, program leader, and internal consultant on various business and technical topics across the organization. The candidate for this position may possess deep knowledge and expertise in certain technical or business fields, and is expected to develop a broad understanding of all aspects of the business and leadership skills to influence partners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, takes initiatives, leads by example and operates effectively. The candidate will partner closely with the Senior Leadership team to develop, communicate and execute strategic plans across the business. Day-to-day responsibilities are dynamic and will vary greatly based on the candidate and the business needs at the time.


What You'll Do:


Support the COO to carry out efficient and effective management by:



  • Driving the creation of content for executive presentations.

  • Providing an independent perspective and acting as a sounding board and thought partner for ideas.

  • Documenting key strategies, initiatives, and projects, and working with internal constituents to execute on these programs.


Partner with the COO to audit changes and progress in the various businesses by:



  • Attend business/program review meetings, provide feedback and ask questions on areas that stand out.

  • Ensure strong follow-up management on action items and questions.

  • Perform ad-hoc deep dives in collaboration with functional teams.

  • Lead projects that require a single threaded owner outside the existing program areas.


Increase the leverage of Stord’s executive leadership team by:



  • Collaborate with functional teams to manage the annual planning process (MBRs, QBRs, Strategic Planning, Resource Planning), agenda/topics for leadership meetings and board of directors meetings.

  • Act as consultant to various internal teams or projects. Support teams needing help thinking through problems (both business and communications).

  • Develop mechanisms to drive best practice sharing across programs.


What You'll Need:



  • 2-4+ years experience engaging with Sr. Executives

  • Proven, successful track record of navigating through ambiguous situations

  • Proven, successful track record of influencing across the organization and leading others cross-functionally to deliver on projects and goal

  • Strong program management skills to drive multiple initiatives in a changing environment with limited supervision

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High integrity, trusted advisor with high EQ and low ego

  • BA/BS Degree in Business Administration or other relevant degree (accredited)

  • 2+ years supervising/managing technical or business staff

  • Deep hands-on technical expertise

  • Strong business acumen

  • Strong data analytics and reporting skills

  • MBA
