Who we are looking for

Charles River Development is looking for a VP, Technology Platform Lead for a Managed Account open architecture multi-tenant SaaS platform, the CRD Wealth Hub. The Wealth Hub services Asset Managers and large Sponsors with separate account programs. It's a network for Managers to automate and streamline communications to / from Sponsors. The Sponsor will have the ability to consume the mangers intellectual property, either models or discretionary trading. In this role you will have the overall responsibility of managing the multiple systems that supports the Wealth Hub. You will interface with all internal SaaS Operations groups Cloud Ops, Networking, Infrastructure, Tech support, Application Management; in addition to engineering teams, product management, CRD business units and clients. In this critical role you are responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and tracking all system requests and system issues. Additionally, you are responsible for internal and external client SLA/Dashboard reporting for the Wealth Hub.

Why this role is important to us

The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.

What you will be responsible for:

The ideal candidate will have a mixture of project management, technology, service and operations, as well as financial systems implementation experience. You will need to be comfortable running complicated day-to-day operations and dealing with all the associated technical issues that will need solving quickly. You will have exposure to mid-level client executives.

As Wealth Hub Platform Lead, you will:

  • Need deep knowledge and hands on implementation experience on cloud Infrastructure and networking.
  • Define standards and best practices
  • Own, manage, track and resolve client issues
  • Own the annual Pen testing and SOC2 certification
  • Document SaaS ops procedures
  • Work across the numerous SaaS Ops groups and have a deep understanding of how each group functions
  • Back up other Wealth Hub colleagues with client Wealth Hub product support

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Project Management, experience in managing large scale, multi-location projects
  • Influence skills
  • Strong background in an asset servicing business, ideally with wealth management / managed accounts experience, or experience within a wealth or asset management firm providing managed account solutions
  • Proven track record defining business requirements related to system integration, workflow design, and overall business process definition
  • Charles River IMS or securities trading software experience is preferred.
  • Proven institutional investment operations depth with subject matter expertise in corporate actions
  • High ability to collaborate with others in a matrixed organization
  • Experience with SQL, MS SQL Server
  • Problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, able to interact at all levels of the organization

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Analytical field required, Master's preferred
  • Network certification preferred
  • Five years of cloud deployment experience, preferred with Azure experiences.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies and services.
  • Working experience with highly segmented networks in public and private clouds.
  • Prior enterprise cloud architecture/design experience a huge plus.
  • Experience in cloud monitoring using Tidal, ELK, and Dynatrace
  • Excellent communication, documentation and troubleshooting skills
  • An innovative approach to work, constantly looking to upgrade the system to more efficient and effective new technologies and processes
