State Street Global Advisors - Securities Lending Global Business Development Manager, MD

The Securities Lending Business Development Manager is at the core of the Securities Lending Group at SSGA. In this role, you will combine excellent sales skills, initiative, strategic thinking and a deep expertise in securities lending to drive revenue growth globally for our clients and the firm. You will be responsible for educating our sales teams, prospects, clients, and consultants on securities lending programs and the advantages of SSGA's approach in pursuit of defined revenue goals.

You will build relationships and serve as the primary contact for securities lending expertise needs of our clients across SSGA's global platform. You will also work with the team to develop and deliver value added solutions to meet our client's needs. You will create marketing and communication plans, develop engaging content and manage delivery of that content. You will also be responsible for fulfilling RFP and DDQ requests requiring securities lending expertise.

This role is part of a team that designs, manages, and commercializes SSGA's securities lending programs to meet client needs. You will report to the Director of Securities Lending at SSGA, and lead the commercialization efforts, but will not be isolated in that capacity. We are a close knit team, supporting each other and working together to deliver the best results for our clients. This means you will also work closely with colleagues to analyze the competitive environment, craft positioning strategies, and/or design new client solutions in securities lending.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Drive global revenue growth through delivery of valued securities lending solutions to existing and prospective client base, leveraging your subject matter expertise
  • Take ownership of clearly defined revenue targets
  • Deliver client solutions that enhance the attractiveness of our investment management products and strengthen our client relationships
  • Educate our sales and relationship management teams, their clients, and our clients' consultants on securities lending
  • Build relationships with key clients and stakeholders across the organization
  • Develop marketing and communication strategies for our securities lending programs
  • Create and manage marketing materials and research on securities lending
  • Leverage Salesforce to track pipeline, identify opportunities, and report progress
  • Aggregate and provide competitive intelligence and analysis
  • Contribute to development of more junior employees and firmwide culture initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of securities lending and sales/relationship management experience
  • Expert knowledge of securities lending regulations and global fund structures
  • Experience developing marketing strategies and communication plans
  • Ability to work in a fluid team environment composed of varied strengths
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred

Salary Range:
$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
