We are seeking a Fixed Income Portfolio Specialist with Emerging Market Debt experience.
The Fixed Income Portfolio Strategist & Specialist team has deep expertise in fixed income markets, and deep understanding of State Street Global Advisors' investment strategies and products. We collaborate with multiple teams across the organization in order to commercialize our investment capabilities, that enable our clients and prospects to achieve their financial goals.
Portfolio Specialists are a key link between portfolio management and distribution teams and they provide vital support in positioning and commercializing our investment capabilities and servicing our clients. You will be part of a close-knit team focusing on the continued success and growth of our Emerging Market Debt strategies and also assist more broadly on our Indexed Fixed Income Business.

Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as internal subject matter expert for SSGA's Indexed Fixed Income strategies with a focus on Emerging Market Debt.
- Work closely with portfolio management to understand and explain our investment process products and market views.
- Partner and support our distribution teams, including institutional and intermediary, to cultivate and support new business opportunities and to service our existing institutional client base.
- Work with various stake holders in the organization to help develop customized solutions, often including ESG screens, for our large institutional clients.
- Deliver high-quality marketing materials and provide ongoing updates about the investment philosophy, process and performance across Fixed Income
- Support senior EMD strategist in preparation for client meetings, roadshows and conferences.
- Run various analyses required by clients and sales to help us win new business and defend existing business.
- Work with senior strategists on Thought Leadership articles focusing on Emerging Market Debt.
- Develop strong relationships with various internal stake-holders including portfolio management, distribution, ESG strategy, product amongst others.

- Lead on complex RFPs, providing technical and asset class specific answers pertaining to our Emerging Market Debt strategies.
- Support senior EMD strategist in preparation for client meetings, roadshows and conferences.
- Run various analyses required by clients and sales to help us win new business and defend existing business.
- Work with senior strategists on Thought Leadership articles focusing on Emerging Market Debt.
- Develop strong relationships with various internal stake-holders including portfolio management, distribution, ESG strategy, product amongst others.
Some of the specific skills required of a fixed income portfolio specialist are as follows:
Technical Skills:
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to analyze and evaluate data and present findings accordingly.
- Curiosity with solid technical understanding of fixed income markets and macroeconomics; understanding of Emerging Market Debt preferred.
- Excellent writing skills required to write RFPs, market commentaries and thought leadership articles.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, good knowledge of Bloomberg preferred. Experience in working with Excel and Bloomberg formulae; experience working with Bloomberg PREP preferred
- Understanding of index strategies preferred.
