The Sourcing Manager, AVP is an important role within State Street's Global Procurement Team and responsible for the preparation, analysis, negotiation and finalization of the end-to-end Procurement process with a focus on software categories. This Sourcing Manager will support/be a part of the global, regional and local Telecom and IT HW sourcing teams.

What you will be responsible for

As Sourcing Manager - Telecom & IT HW you will:

  • Review and mark-up existing contracts requiring change as well as new contracts, using State Street and vendors contracts templates.
  • Perform direct commercial, contract negotiations and manage sometimes large and complex Procurement activities in Telecom & IT HW area.
  • Contribute to P&L and cost savings via stakeholder engagement and thorough data analysis. Identify risks and opportunities related to achieving financial objectives.
  • Coordinate, prepare and manage RFx/competitive bids to optimize cost and service.
  • Use a white glove approach in stakeholder management to provide advice and guidance. Solution requests and issues timely, and perform daily problem solving.
  • Quickly learn the State Street end to end process, and work within the guidelines to gain savings and deliver contracts meeting compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with TPRM teams to support appropriate policies and procedures are followed and used consistently throughout the services and products acquisition process, to identify and mitigate 3rd party risk
  • Perform all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines

What we value

These skills and qualifications will help you succeed in this role

  • 5 - 8+ years of sourcing experience in Telecom (must to have) & IT HW sourcing, with global exposure
  • A very strong understanding of Telecom services portfolio: data networks (MPLS, P2P, Business Internet), voice (TDM, IP), AV conferencing, Wireless, telecom services related software
  • An understanding of IT HW portfolio would be advantages: Network HW, Servers, Storage, Mainframes, End User Devices, Databases, Data Center (Space & Power model)
  • Proven strong experience in reviewing, negotiations and drafting Telecom and IT HW contracts, including risks model, information security and payable processes
  • A strong understanding of pricing models, metrics, etc. with the ability to suggest sourcing and contracting alternatives
  • Self-starter with analytical skills, problem solver with attention to details who can work independently and within a team while effectively juggling multiple priorities
  • Personal resilience to work within an extremely fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Ability to manage challenging stakeholders diplomatically
  • Excellent command of the English language and Microsoft Office tools
