What you will be responsible for
As Senior UI Developer for BestX, Vice President (VP), you will
- Exhibit superior skills in modern Agile, Cloud-based, Web Development
- Responsible for taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through completion
- Collaborating closely with other members of the team
- Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the application and influencing technology decisions
- Mentoring junior members of the team
- Establish best practices, clean-code and design patterns
- Be passionate about driving change through an organization
- Never accept what we have is good enough, always look through analysis and monitoring of our estate to protect our assets
- Be a proponent of Test Driven Development always striving to Shift Left so as to facilitate effective CI/CD
- Be a self-starter and team-player
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role
- Minimum of 7 to 10+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience building state-of-the-art and high-performance web frontends using React and/or Angular JavaScript frameworks
- Minimum of 10+ years of Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design, distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases such as Postgres
- 6+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
- Proven knowledge/expertise in FX/Fixed Income/Equity/ Equity Derivatives products
- Hands-on experience in building multi-platform UI products with effective interaction and innovative user journeys.
- Solid understanding of the modern JavaScript build tool chain using things like node, npm, rush, yarn, webpack, babel
- Hands-on experience working with Javascript, TypeScript, Websocket, React, Angular, Material UI, and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience working with AWS and/or other modern cloud-based infrastructure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Strong and solid hands-on technical background
- Ability to work under pressure to meet varying deadlines
- Strong management skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Confident in making decisions autonomously and taking initiative
- Proactive and not afraid to lead, express opinions and challenge the status quo
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent

Salary Range:
$125,000 - $200,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
