Who we are looking for

State Street's Alpha Core Data Platform team is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for our cloud-native data servicing platform with the focus on the Performance and Analytics (P&A) data product. You will derive insights from our business partners to architect simple solutions for complex problems and focus on opportunities for revenue growth and commercialization and deep empathy for our clients. The candidate is someone with proven record of technology project execution, someone with creativity and self-motivation to delivery on mission critical projects.

What you will be responsible for

As part of his/her responsibilities, the Business Analyst will
• drive the analysis around the new Investment Performance Measurement and Risk/Attribution module of SSCD

• collaborate with the stakeholders and technology partners to translate business objectives into technology Vision, Strategy and Roadmap for the State Street Data Platform
• manage the execution of complex projects to achieve the business objectives, collaborate and coordinate with teams across the organization
• perform business analysis, define business requirements and work with the development team on technical specifications
• assist in converting MCH-accounting based clients from legacy PnA Workstation to the new cloud-based platform
• Define required enhancements for Dev/SQA teams and ensure successful deployment of features to production

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role
• Extensive experience with using or building a Performance Measurement application
• 5+ years' experience developing data solutions and at least 2+ years leading projects
• Extensive experience in the financial industry with a strong P&A business domain knowledge
• Effective product management and problem solving skills, results-driven, comfortable with dealing with uncertainty
• Experience with data governance, data architecture and data modeling
• Experience with in depth data analysis with the ability to review many different data sets to
• Work closely with the business & IT stake holders to manage delivery

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Masters or B.S. degree in Finance or Computer Science or related field

• Ability to lead delivery, manage team members if required and provide feedback
• Ability to make effective decisions and manage change
• Communicates effectively in a professional manner both written and orally
• Team player with a positive attitude enthusiasm initiative and self-motivation
• Ability to multi-task energetic fast learner & problem solver
