Who we are looking for

In the process, team will apply price for missing price securities, validate variance and stale with alternate vendor, Research Corporate Action Securities, perform portfolio level pricing and Generate & Publish Client Specific Reports. The Clients' portfolios include products like Equity, Fixed Income, OTC and Exchange-traded Derivatives, FX, Bank Loans, Futures forwards and Option products.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for day to day operations of securities valuation team, ensure team delivers the KPI as agreed. Manage operational challenges with regards to process and people. Act as a subject matter expert of the process and assist the team in designing customer solution.

What you will be responsible for

  • Manage Pricing / Valuations operations process, activities, timelines
  • Manage team of 20 - 25 Members
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Security Valuations team and ensure that the processes are run in accordance to the laid down procedures and process
  • Ensure execution of appropriate controls supported by documented policies and procedures across the relevant groups
  • Handle client calls - daily, weekly and governance, escalations
  • Validate Attendance Allowance, Incentive and Overtime for the Associates on monthly basis
  • Ensure Process documents SOP's, Metrics and Checklist are timely reviewed and approved by onshore counterparts.
  • Coordinate and conduct Call tree test and Annual BCP test
  • Ensure coordination which includes coordination of various locations
  • Provide timely data, reporting and needed analytics to senior management and other key stakeholders
  • Work towards encouraging the team to identify opportunities to stream-line and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the process and lead the team through the implementation of the process enhancements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

The minimum education requirements:

  • Degree in Commerce, Finance or any other related field
  • Masters in Commerce, Finance, MBA

The minimum experience requirements:

At least 10-14 years of experience in Pricing / Capital Markets

CONTINUING EDUCATION & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to working in Vendor Systems like Bloomberg, IDC, Reuters etc

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • First or second level management expertise required
  • Candidate should demonstrate problem solving skills, conducting specialized research and analysis of complex securities pricing issues
  • Must have considerable domain knowledge preferably in areas of Pricing or Valuations with good product knowledge across Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
  • Senior-level communication skills, presentation skills, prior experience of interacting with multiple stakeholders
  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task and work under high pressure deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong working knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters and IDC
  • The candidate must have well-developed analytical skills.
  • Candidate must exhibit excellent attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching;
  • Require ability to envision and improve current processes and achieve efficiencies;
  • Strong experience in setting clear team goals;
  • Strong proficiency in MIS and report preparations;
  • Experience in conducting appraisals for team members;
  • Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture;
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics
  • Lead and motivate team to facilitate achievement of SLA
  • Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts;
  • Suggest and organize team building activities;
