The Legal, Corporate Administration, Regulatory Affairs, and Security (LCARS) Program Management Office (PMO) drives the successful execution of projects for State Street's Legal, Regulatory Affairs, and Global Security divisions. Our projects typically help State Street mitigate risk, meet regulatory requirements, or serve our internal clients more efficiently; these objectives are primarily achieved through technology integration or establishment of business processes, tools, and/or documentation deliverables.

The LCARS PMO is seeking candidates for a Project Manager position. The Project Manager will lead and deliver projects and/or programs from initiation through implementation and will be responsible for end-to-end project management, stakeholder engagement, and organizational change management of strategic business initiatives.

Role requires four days in office (Mon - Thurs).

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead and successfully deliver multiple complex projects concurrently
  • Demonstrate the required behaviors, knowledge, and skills to manage delivery of assigned projects; develop and maintain end-to-end plans to manage project timeline, scope, deliverables, and resources
  • Coordinate overall project communications, measure progress and monitor performance, and manage risk and issue resolution-anticipating, documenting, and escalating as appropriate
  • Effectively interface with senior management, key stakeholders, and vendors regarding project deliverables, status, issues, and risks
  • Manage project staff (directly or indirectly); provide leadership, direction, guidance, and support in driving toward expected project outcomes
  • Identify and monitor cross-project interdependencies; develop and propose solutions to resolve resource conflicts
  • Support the operation and continued enhancement of the LCARS PMO through active participation in portfolio-specific processes (i.e., legal portfolio reporting, continuous evolution of project lifecycle templates)

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills; effectively communicates (both written and oral) at all levels throughout an organization
  • Comfortable gaining commitment and consensus through persuasion and negotiation; works collaboratively across teams to reach common goals
  • Solid decision-maker that takes responsibility for projects, people, and actions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent time management
  • Skilled relationship manager, adept at building a network of contacts inside an organization
  • Business results orientation; emphasizes high quality, productivity, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Vendor management including conducting RFP's, contract negotiation, and onboarding

Qualifications

  • Eight or more years of experience managing complex projects, preferably in a large, global financial services institution
  • Demonstrated experience managing technology oriented projects from planning through implementation including requirements gathering, design, development, and testing
  • Background in systems analysis a plus
  • PMP certification and/or prior management consulting experience is preferred
  • BS/BA degree in business, finance, technology, or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project

Salary Range:
$100,000 - $167,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
