Who we are looking for

Alpha Portfolio Services is increasing its talent to support client expansion onto our Front-to-Back, Investment Platform - Alpha.

The candidate will be expected to manage the day to day running of the EMEA Portfolio Services Teams for client(s) including BAU leadership for Portfolio Control, Account Services, Front Office Support and Front Office Data Control.

The candidate will also have to ensure that all aspects of the Team`s activities are considered as part of the new client onboarding process and ensure participation in BUAT / CUAT / Parallel testing and all other specific tasks that need to be completed ahead of a new conversion.

What you will be responsible for

As Portfolio Services Manager, Vice President you will oversee the following:

  • Using provided tools, review accounts for issues associated with Portfolio Health:
  • Act as primary support for clients using Charles River Investment Management System (CRD).
  • Ensure position and transaction data in CRD, State Street's front office platform and IBOR recordkeeping systems are aligned.
  • Client query support on complex data issues across Middle Office systems including use of SQL queries for researching issues and tracking data.
  • Acting as gatekeeper of the IBOR record, ensuring the accounting period close and reopening process is adhered to
  • As subject matter experts in the IBOR record, provide support for client operations teams with any operational client queries
  • Manage staff to meet goals if applicable; conduct regular team meetings with Staff
  • Track work effort and goals - individual and team

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in an asset management / middle office role
  • Experience in back- and middle-office management of high-demand middle-office clients is considered a plus
  • Industry relevant qualifications, e.g. IMC, CFA.
  • Knowledge of order management systems, ideally CRD but not a must-have.
