Reporting to the Manager, US Wire Transfer, this position is responsible for processing payments received manually and electronically into Funds Transfer Systems, as part of an essential business unit within Global Transaction Control Banking.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and process all activity in MTS queues, Rightfax, accurately and timely within established deadline.
- Ensure full cross training on opening/intraday/closing functions.
- Ensure full understanding and adherence to corporate risk policy and standard operating procedures
- Make suggestions for workflow and process improvements to the benefit of State Street and our clients.
- Identify and proactively escalate any potential trend of corrections in a timely manner.
- Ensure errors are minimized; SSBT's and Global Services exposure to financial loss is minimized, and provide process improvement ideas.
- Be aware of all business contingency plans. Escalate issues that could result in the invoking of contingency procedures with your supervisor
- Interact constructively with clients, peers and management, participating in staff meetings.
- Report any suspicious transactions to Team Leaders or Senior Officers within Payment Services.
- Support the effective functioning of the department and the transition of workflow between Toronto and Quincy site.
- Performs other duties as specified by Management.

Requirements:
- University/College designation preferred
- Strong overall knowledge of Swift standards, Fedwire, CHIPS clearing
- Demonstrated market knowledge and relevant market experience treasury and/or brokerage products
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ideally candidate must be fluent with Microsoft office suite of products and be technologically independent.
- Effective verbal and written communication and time management skills
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and assist manager with more complex duties or training as needed
- Demonstrate the ability to problem solve
- Be a strong team player
