Who we are looking for

State Street seeks to recruit a Cybersecurity Fusion Operations Analyst to join a world-class information security team in our Quincy office. We are looking for a detail oriented, team player with an analytical mindset wanting to gain experience and grow cybersecurity skills. Join us in evolving our risk and threat identification capabilities to shape a pro-active threat intelligence driven fusion model to protect State Street, its customers and partners from the ever evolving and sophisticated global threat actors.

Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

  • Performing research into cyber threat intelligence reports and developing plans to categorize and prioritize efforts to identify gaps in controls, processes, and/or procedures for the purpose of initiating remediation efforts
  • Creating and refining documentation
  • Improving and challenging existing processes and procedures in a fast-moving environment.
  • Providing support in response to cyber threats/risks associated with findings by State Street Global Cybersecurity Fusion teams (Cyber Threat Intelligence, Advanced Threat, and Data Loss Prevention/Data Protection)
  • Developing a strong understanding of State Street IT processes and Cybersecurity remediation best practices.
  • Will work with other analysts to review the categorization and prioritization of security reports and best-practice recommendations, based on trends with State Street cyber security risks

What we value

  • Understanding of current security threats and other challenges, as well as frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK
  • Ability to follow processes and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Ability to develop reports and articulate both in person and in-writing findings and recommendations
  • Experience with common enterprise security tools such as; SIEM (Splunk), EDR (CrowdStrike, CarbonBlack, or Tanium), Vulnerability Management (Qualys, Tenable, or Rapid7)
  • Experience with cloud security tools/platforms such as; AWS or Azure and common enterprise SaaS application
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
  • Knowledge of IT architecture and operations (computing, network, storage & cloud)

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Computer Science
  • +2 years in a cybersecurity skilled role - Security Operations, Vulnerability Management, Threat Hunting, Cyber Threat Intelligence. and Offensive Security are considered a plus
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, any combination of education and/or relevant cybersecurity experience will be considered

Additional requirements

  • Financial Services experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Technical security certifications a plus (CISSP, Security+)
  • This role will require the selected candidate to work onsite 5 days a week in our Quincy office

Salary Range:
$100,000 - $160,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
