Looking for Operational Risk professional to support the Business Risk Management Team as BRM Business Aligned Lead and act as the business risk point of contact; facilitating engagement/collaboration with BRM pillars as needed. Responsible for a specific business function within Global Delivery as the main contact for all risk related matters.

The role of the BRM Business Aligned Lead is to advise, provide guidance, and challenge the business in all matters relating to the risk ecosystem, compliance and alignment with corporate policies. The business aligned representative is a partner to the business to ensure accurate representation of risk, escalation and intervention. The business aligned representatives work closely with the central pillars within BRM to provide complete support and risk governance to the business units within Global Delivery.

What you will be responsible for
As an Officer you will be responsible for
- Facilitating or participating in risk meetings
- Under general supervision, providing input/advising on risk and controls as relates to the specific business function including providing input/challenge on remediation plans relating to issues and incidents
- Collaborating across BRM and the Business to implement and complete BRM initiatives (e.g. RCSA, BPM, Issues and incidents, control recertification, Regulatory requirements)
- Represent BRM in any Business specific forums, meetings and reviews (e.g. Functional leadership meetings, ERM TRA's, audit kick offs and closure meetings)
- Escalate key risks, controls and incidences as needed to BRM functional leads / Leadership team and to functional business management.
- Execute on processes to ensure appropriate analysis of incidents and issues, including root cause and trend analysis.
- Continuously assess and propose opportunities to enhance risk management processes and controls improvement and provide guidance to business on design and application of key controls, procedures and best practices.
- Advise the business locally on the implications to operations of regulatory change.

- Advanced excel and presentation skills
- Knowledge and experience in relevant emerging technologies will be an added advantage
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Finance
- University degree in Business majoring in Accounting, Finance/Financial-related programs and Risk Management or equivalent experience would be preferred
- Overall experience of 9+ years with a Banking organization of which at least 2-3 years should have been with the First or Second line of Defense
