Purpose of Role:
Support the management of the technology landscape of State Street Talent development and learning, from introducing new and innovative technologies to managing the day-to-day operations and support of existing technologies. Execute plans to optimize existing technologies. Contribute to the development learning curation strategy with Learning Tech & Curation Lead and the Talent Development and Learning Management team. Create guidelines that help determine the most relevant content for the learners and participate in determining the best content-platform fit for curated content.
Support the execution of the strategic Learning and Talent development strategy and ensures alignment of technology and content to the objectives & priorities.

The role will interact closely with other Learning functions including Enterprise learning solutions, talent Consultancy, talent management, leadership development, executive development, Design & development and HR Business partners that technology is successfully implemented and is meeting the needs of learning. Will also interact with State Street HR tech and IT for design, integration, IT support and adoption of new technologies.
The incumbent will report to Head - learning technology and curation. The position is location agnostic to the present State Street office cities.
Major Responsibilities:
Role specifics
- Execute learning and talent technology strategy. At the direction of the Learning Tech & Curation Lead work to establish the enterprise-wide approach to learning and talent technology platform management.
- This strategy works with learning platforms such as learning management system (LMS) as primary requirement and supporting learning experience platform (LXP). This involved optimal LMS implementation set-up, integration with content providers and other platforms in learning, Video communication (WebEx/Zoom) and on later stage, talent ones.
- Specific to the role - Configuration, Integration, release management and administration experience with learning management systems.
- This also requires incumbent to participate proactively on design and support to insights, efficient working, process & governance of the platforms as well as other control mechanisms corresponding to these systems.
- Support thought leadership for learning and talent technology. Stay abreast of emerging learning technology and best practices. Champion the use of innovative technologies for Learning at State Street. Research and develop innovative and impactful technologies to support learning strategies.
- Manage the learner experience with technology. Support the required infrastructure, tools, and integrations to promote a technology-enabled learning culture.
- Support the administration of learning and talent technologies. Support day-to-day ongoing operations activities including maintenance, usage, analysis, reporting, integration and administration of the learning technologies.
- Participate in establishing structure, governance, and context to curate content that will be most relevant and valuable to the organization and learner.
- Participate in driving learner experience via identification, filtering and sharing relevant content across multiple tools & platforms.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, curation manager and external information in the curation process to offer customized and vetted selection of the most effective and relevant resources.
- Model a curation mind-set where everyone shares and curates information in the organization, and employees feel empowered to seek credible content that is relevant and customized to their needs.
- Represent Talent & Learning IT perspective as needed with the global State Street IT organization.
- Ensure compliance with proper governance and budget discipline including adhering to the Learning organization's vendor management practices.
- Collaborate with other leaders. Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology groups across Global Human Resources and State Street extended teams to share best practices and develop a strategy for integrations.
- Actively contribute to global learning initiatives and projects.
The Talent Development and Learning COE organization has embarked on transformational change that will both impact those responsible for learning activities, as well as employees across the organization. As such, roles and responsibilities will need to be fluid to meet the demand of evolving model.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Level of Education/ Specific Qualifications: Degree level qualification or relevant professional qualification
Skills and Experience -
Broad experience in the Learning and talent technology space, preferable (not compulsory) in Financial Institutions.
- Have worked with LMS (preferably but not limited to CSOD) at the level of configuration, release management, user and access management as solution management perspective (and not just administration management).
- Preferably worked on most of activities like SSO requests, certificate management, API and content API collectors' integration.
- It would also be value add if the candidate is exposed to any learning experience platform (LXP) like Degreed, Edcast but compulsory.
- Have exposure to talent technology tools in coaching, assessment, mobility and engagement workstream (preferred but not mandatory)
- Have demonstrated experience in supporting talent and learning insights /reporting and their analysis.
- Desirable but not compulsory demonstrated experience in developing, documenting and managing talent and learning (both or any of them), and control governance from the technology perspective.
- Vendor management: Work to vendors to manage agreed customizations, upgrades and SLA monitoring.
- Knowledge Management: Familiarity with processes and tools for capturing, organizing, and using individual and organizational intellectual assets in support of content curation. It requires ability to understand different roles of the organization and tag the content with specified guidelines from the management (Function, role, tenure, type, devices, delivery with specific LearnTech systems etc.)
- System Support: Exposure to managing helpdesk mechanism though ticket management or supporting multi-level support mechanism would be a plus. Exposed to the environment of system support along with a vendor could be beneficial but not compulsory.
- Strong project management skills, ability to execute project plans on a regional and global scale. Tactical planning experience.
- Strong change management skills, ability to support transformation, drive change, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and learning team members about technology and content.
- Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build strong partnerships across business functions as well as the broader State Street IT organization. Ability to have worked with various functions of the organization to support learning content or curation or learning technology administration space would be beneficial but not compulsory.
- In depth understanding and empathy in working across cultures. Working in a multi-geography organizational environment would be beneficial but not compulsory.
Required Competencies -
This role requires a high caliber learning technology professional with broad learning technology platform management experience. A positive can-do attitude and ability to navigate ambiguity will be key success factors
Ability to apply and leverage technology while working across regions and functions are critical elements of the role.
