Cloud Network Engineer, AVP

Who we are looking for

The Network team is looking to add a Cloud Network Engineer to design and deploy cloud network solutions across multiple cloud providers. Your goal is to be one of the contributors to the global network team, focusing primarily but not exclusively on cloud networking, cloud security, and infrastructure services. This is a tremendous opportunity to join a global organization and participle in the develop of our multi-cloud hybrid architecture. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of at least one cloud provider's virtual networking constructs, connectivity options to data centers, core routing experience with OSPF and BGP, and traditional LAN design and fundamentals.

What you will be responsible for

  • Experience in fundamental networking concepts with deploying WAN connectivity and data center networks.
  • Responsible for implementing and supporting the network infrastructure based on defined standards.
  • Assist with the implementation of global hybrid connectivity to Cloud Providers via dedicated circuits (ExpressRoute, FastConnect, DirectConnect)
  • Implement and support cloud routing platforms such as AWS CloudWan and Azure vWAN.
  • Experience with deploying Cisco VxLAN/EVPN /BGP environments.
  • Ensure compliance with the standards and requirements relative to cyber security.
  • Leverage network tools to automate, manage, and troubleshoot the end to end network connectivity.
  • Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams.

Required Skills and Preferred Experience

  • 7+ years of experience working with cloud and networking deployments with 1+ years experience with Azure and/or AWS
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • Certification in a cloud provider's Associate level a plus
  • Experience in implementing/supporting/troubleshooting at least one of the following cloud providers network constructs and policies.
  • AWS: CloudWan, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPC Peering,
  • Azure: vWAN, User Defined Routes (UDR), vNet Peering, Express Route
  • OCI: Fast Connect
  • Experience with analysis and troubleshooting of routing policies both to and from the cloud providers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSPF and BGP routing protocols
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data center LAN fundamentals
  • Experience with VxLAN/EVPN/BGP deployments a plus
  • Experience in on prem and cloud-based DNS.
  • Knowledge of native cloud services across the providers for load-balancing, firewall, and private dns
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Experience with Python, Terraform, git, and scrum methodologies a plus.
