Job Description:

Basic Purpose of Job:

  • Global Treasury (GT) is responsible for overall balance sheet management including credit, interest rate, and liquidity risk management.
  • GT is currently looking for a Vice President within the Liquidity Risk Reporting and Optimization function to lead the liquidity reporting function, development and operation of the company's liquidity risk management and optimization frameworks covering activities across the globe, including compliance with the relevant regulations.
  • The position will report to the Head of Global Treasury India CoE.
  • The Liquidity Management VP will work closely with the India reporting team and lead them to execute daily reporting responsibilities around multiple key regulatory reports for the Bank (viz. FR2052a, ILST/RLAP, Cashflow Forecasting, Global Stress Testing Dashboards, etc.) and also work closely with broader liquidity management teams at other global locations (Hong Kong, Sydney, Munic, London and Boston) and with other Functions across the institution with operations that impact the company's liquidity position including Treasury Risk Management, Recovery and Resolution Planning, Capital Planning, Global Markets, Global Credit Finance and Institutional Services.
  • The key priority for the role is to support and lead the firm's daily FR-2052a (6G) and LCR (Liquidity Coverage Ratio) & NSFR (Net Stable Funding Ratio) submissions to Federal Reserve Bank of America, including analysis, reporting, and enhancements.
  • The Liquidity Management VP will also be leading the daily submissions of multiple other Stress Testing metrics, Cashflow Forecasting reports, Intraday reports, and various other regional entity dashboards to the global regulators like HKMA, ECB, etc.
  • He/She will coordinate with internal stakeholders within business units, IT, Enterprise Risk Management and Liability Management on liquidity risk strategies and requirements.
  • He/She will ensure documentation and control processes are established and followed, will develop materials that will be used in presentation to executive management and participate in new product assessments to determine liquidity risk drivers. An ability to drive projects to completion and effectively working with multiple stakeholders is vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities & Tasks Include:

  • Lead the Bank's periodic (daily , weekly, monthly, and quarterly) liquidity reporting responsibilities including FR2052a and Stress Testing metrics
  • Ensure accurate reporting of liquidity metrics and related details for the quarterly public disclosures
  • Develop expertise in the bank's liquidity risk management frameworks and governing regulations
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis for management and other stakeholders to maintain liquidity management reports. Lead work on developing and recalibrating methodologies related to liquidity monitoring metrics
  • Coordinate with the broader liquidity management team to ensure consistency of data sourcing and reports
  • Work with internal stakeholders and team members to expand and improve the quality data and reports are delivered within regulator stipulated timelines.
  • Partner with the information technology team to improve data sourcing and reports automation
  • Lead the team through corporate audit and regulatory exams; lead issue self-identification efforts and promote a culture of risk excellence
  • Support/Lead troubleshooting and remediation of reporting/processing issues, as needed
  • Ongoing evaluation of compliance with key regulatory regimes, new activity impact assessments and approvals, engagement with key committees and governing bodies, and maintenance of key policies and procedures

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum relevant experience of 14 years in fields of Treasury Liquidity Reporting, Regulatory Reporting change/project management, Senior management Reporting.
  • Master's degree in finance from a tier one institution or CA/CPA will be preferable.
  • Team handling experience of 5 years is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience in working on regulatory reporting through Axiom and other BIS Tools

Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and time management skills
  • Experience effectively managing complex, cross-functional business relationships and competing priorities
  • Ability to effectively manage senior stakeholders, including both internal management and regulators
  • Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, work independently while maintaining attention to detail and meet deadlines in a demanding and deadline-oriented environment, as well as overseeing and supporting multiple direct reports in doing same
  • Ability to proactively resolve issues or conflicts by working with senior business partners from other areas within or outside of GT
  • Experience with liquidity management and other regulatory reporting
  • Proficient at Project Management
  • Experienced with databases, data systems, and data query tools
  • High level of proficiency in MS Applications specifically PPT and Excel
  • Proven experience at being an effective manager
