GLM is part of the Global Treasury organization with responsibility managing the firm's liquidity risk. A primary focus of GLM is to analyze, measure, and report on the liquidity position and liquidity risk profile in order to ensure that State Street and its international entities can meet all contractual and contingent financial obligations through typical market cycles as well as periods of stress. Through meaningful, timely, transparent, multidimensional and globally harmonized measures, GLM provides key stakeholders the necessary transparency and understanding of the liquidity position, its risks and how liquidity can be affected and influenced.

As part of GLM, the Assistant Vice President in Position Management Analytics (PMA) will be largely responsible for the analysis and coordination of State Street's liquidity risk profile for the New Product and Business review process. Responsibilities will include the review and articulation of key liquidity metrics including the Liquidity Coverage Ratio, Net Stable Funding Requirement and Internal Liquidity Stress Testing, etc. on the implementation of new products. In order to provide in-depth analysis of results, the candidate will work closely with liquidity subject matter experts and will need to have an understanding of business drivers and their impact to liquidity metrics in order to communicate the liquidity costs, benefits and risks to business product sponsors, governance committees and external regulators. Other responsibilities include the development and maintenance of key liquidity framework policies and guidelines, coordination of regular liquidity capabilities testing and other ad hoc projects that arise within the team.

What you will be responsible for

  • Manage the New Product approval process from a liquidity perspective
  • Develop and communicate liquidity risk assessments of new products or businesses
  • Project liquidity impacts to the firm's balance sheet and risk profile along with any other factors that impact regulatory requirements, collateral management and currency exposure as well as a quantitative assessment under both business-as-usual and stressed conditions
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and the second line of defense to quantify how potential new products fall under the firm's liquidity risk guidelines and identify any unanticipated liquidity risks throughout the life of the product
  • Collaborate with business unit sponsors, and data teams to ensure correct reporting for potential new products
  • Engage various stakeholders in liquidity trends, drivers and potential optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate with other GLM pillar leads to ensure data accuracy, transparency of changes to the liquidity framework
  • Communicate with senior management to provide updates and analysis on the liquidity position
  • Manage communications with US regulators and respond to regulatory requests
  • Support Recovery and Resolution Planning efforts
  • Support ad hoc projects

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a related field (Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting,)
  • 3-5+ years of experience in treasury, strategy, consulting or related field
  • Strong written, verbal communication and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, work independently while maintaining attention to detail and meet deadlines in a demanding and deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues by working with other areas within Global Treasury and Business Lines
  • Experience in preparing presentations for executive management
  • Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, innovative, and a self-starter and team player with a high level of initiative

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $132,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
