We are currently seeking a skilled Jira Planning SME to provide essential support to the Planning Lead in developing and maintaining a centralized planning framework for the program.

The role will focus on optimizing Jira as the programs primary planning and tracking tool, ensuring it effectively captures milestones, dependencies, resourcing and highlights execution risk,

The Jira Planning SME will play a critical role in configuring workflows, creating insightful dashboards and ensuring the seamless operation of the platform to enable data driven decision making.

The function ensures that State Street aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements and risk tolerance. It operates through three core pillars; Governance, Risk and Compliance supported by ongoing monitoring , reporting and improvement.

As a member of the Cybersecurity GRC Team, you will have a significant opportunity in making a difference on the team, within the cybersecurity organization, as well as State Street overall.

What you will be responsible for

  • Supporting the Planning Lead in developing a centralized planning framework using Jira to track milestones, dependencies, resource allocation, critical path activities and execution risks.
  • Configuring Jira workflows, fields, permissions, to align with the programs planning and reporting needs.
  • Developing and maintaining Jira dashboard, reports, and visualizations to provide real time insights into program progress, resource utilization and critical path activities.
  • Collaborating with the other workstream leaders and project managers to ensure consistency in Jira usage and integration with other program tools.
  • Troubleshooting Jira related issues and provide training to others to enhance platform adoption and usage.
  • Ensuring data accuracy and integrity within Jira to support decision making and reporting requirements.
  • Assisting in tracking and reporting critical path activities, ensuring alignment with the programs timelines and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Jira Administration, dashboard creation and custom reporting.
  • Strong understanding of project planning and tracking methodologies, including critical path analysis and dependency management,
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and translate planning requirements into Jira solutions.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, with a focus on ensuring system functionality and data accuracy.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum or other project management frameworks
  • Familiarity with additional reporting tools (e.g. Power BI ) is an advantage.

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $185,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
