Who we are looking for

We are looking for a dedicated and driven Spain Intermediary Client Coverage professional to join our Southern European team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in expanding SSGA's intermediary distribution network, with a particular focus on promoting our Multi-Asset products, including ETFs, mutual funds, and cash solutions. Reporting directly to the Head of Intermediary client coverage Southern Europe, you will work closely with the head the Spanish coverage and with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of tailored investment products to our intermediary clients.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

  • Sales Strategy: Execute the sales strategy to promote our product offerings within the Spanish market, driving revenue growth and meeting key business objectives.
  • Client Relationships: Build and manage relationships with financial intermediaries, including asset managers, wealth managers, private banks, platforms and insurances, to ensure alignment with their needs and expectations.
  • Market Development: Identify new business opportunities within the intermediary space and leverage your network to drive product adoption and increase our market share.
  • Project Coordination - Oversee RFP processes, client onboarding and coordinate projects related to client reporting and ongoing management post onboarding to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with ETF Capital Markets, Strategy, Product and Marketing teams to identify market themes and ensure the alignment of messaging and product positioning within the market.
  • Client Engagement: Deliver high-quality client service, providing ongoing support and communicating investment ideas and research effectively to clients and prospects

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • minimum of 6+ years of experience in asset management sales, with a focus on Spanish intermediary clients and a strong track record of success in promoting mutual funds, ETFs, and cash products.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish is a significant advantage.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Spanish financial landscape and intermediary distribution channels.
  • Advanced degree in Business or Finance and/or CFA designation preferred
  • Confirmed ability to develop and execute successfully on strategic sales plans.
