SSGA's EMEA Institutional Client Group (ICG) is responsible for all institutional client facing activities in EMEA, including new business development, client service and on-boarding. This team includes over 100 individuals across our DB, DC, Global Cash and Official Institutions Group businesses.
Role Summary:
In this role you will support our Benelux Sales & Relationship Management Team in their day to day sales related activities. Areas of focus include assisting with meeting follow up, client and market research, Requests for Proposal oversight and collateral and presentation development. Your work will directly support the growth and retention of our assets under management.
Responsibilities Include
- Support sales meeting preparation and follow up
- Support AEs in preparing and collecting presentation decks and investment collateral materials for prospect or client meetings
- Assist with meeting follow up, packaging materials such as factsheets, performance track records and thought leadership
- Engaging stakeholders across the organisation (Investments, Operations, Marketing and Product) as needed to manage preparation and follow up
- Contribute to creation and execution of Marketing campaigns and client event coordination
- Partner with Marketing to plan and implement client events
- Act as liaison with Investments and Marketing to manage Marketing campaign collateral creation and distribution lists
- Maintain Salesforce Marketing contact data
- Oversee Request for Proposals / Requests for Information process
- Partner with the AE to own the timely and accurate response to RFP/ RFIs through engagement with stakeholders and oversight of RFP through the process
- Research Market and Client Trends
- Scan the news and public sources to identify investment and other trends impacting clients and prospects
- Analyze and summarize key industry investments reports
- Assist with Salesforce data maintenance and management reporting as needed
- Partner with AEs to ensure accurate Salesforce data for contacts, sales opportunities and business at risk
- Aide in creation of management reporting as needed
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 0-3 years of experience in client facing team, preferably in asset management industry with a sales background
- Strong interest and understanding of financial markets
- Familiarity working across European markets
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- Masters degree in Business Administration, finance, law, economics or similar
Capabilities
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, research, time management, verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter mentality with a high degree of follow through; can own and take tasks through to completion
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in multifaceted deadline driven environment
- Willingness to take hands on approach to accomplish goals
- Knowledge/experience with using Salesforce.com is preferred
- Capability to take ownership and initiative, to negotiate, influence and build consensus
- Ability to collaborate with individuals across business units/lines to achieve results
