State Street seeks to recruit an Information Protection analyst that will be a core part of the governance and reporting team within the Information Protection program at State Street. The successful candidate will participate in activities ensuring compliance / non-compliance with the Information Protection Standard. This team will focus on governance pertaining to the securing of stored data, such as implementing and managing specific encryption standards, secure storage practices, and specific data loss prevention efforts. This position requires strong organization, technical and operational knowledge of information protection, and a strong desire to protect the bank's assets. Join us in evolving our information protection program to protect State Street, its customers and partners from the ever evolving and sophisticated threats and risks.

What you will be responsible for

As a governance and reporting program analyst you will

  • Engage in processes/reporting related to receiving and aggregating data to assess compliance/non-compliance with Information Protection standards
  • Ensure process validates the accuracy and completeness of data received
  • Develop and report Key Performance Indicators and reporting for submission into enterprise reporting as part of the larger program
  • Participate in efforts requiring remediation and compliance with stakeholders and application owners
  • Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiencies in collecting and reporting metrics

  • Foundational understanding of data at rest and data in transit and associated privacy and governance considerations
  • Fundamental understanding of encryption management, data loss prevention, and key and certificate management
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of data organizing or structuring complex data across varied data sources
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with information protection and/or related fields demonstrated
  • through work, military, or education
  • 5+ years of experience using ticket tracking tools for change management, problem and
  • incident management, and availability management, demonstrated through work, military,
  • or education
  • Strong background in data protection, governance, risk management, and/or information
  • protection preferred
