Who we are looking for
State Street's Wealth Services business unit is seeking a dynamic executive to serve as the Head of Global Family Office for Wealth Services. This role will be pivotal in developing the market globally for the family office offering, including Relationship Management, Governance, and Product Management. The Head of Global Family Office for Wealth Services will work extensively on formulating and executing market entry plans, relationship management and closely coordinating on various initiatives with Global Product Leads.

What you will be responsible for
The Head of Global Family Office for Wealth Services is pivotal for developing the market globally for the Family Office offering, with full accountability for the following:

  • Establish and execute the initial phase of a substantial, market-leading business
  • Develop market entry plan, and associated execution, for global Family Office business, working closely with other Wealth Services global product groups
  • Engage with c-suites of client organizations across Family Offices
  • Define and execute business plan for Global Family Offices and manage to the P&L, through sales, client relationships, and product strategy
  • Understand and manage through regulatory aspects specific to local geographies
  • Develop relationships with senior global Family Offices to gain understanding of client strategy and wealth services alignment to achieving their strategy
  • Identify and foster strategic partners for global Family Offices for Wealth Platform and Services, in close coordination with other leaders
  • Maintaining frequent communication and collaboration with internal sales and client account teams
  • Work closely with global product teams to ensure product development is tailored to local requirements

  • Track record of managing and deploying investments in key areas to foster business growth
  • Proven experience in managing services and platform business for Family Offices
  • Responsibility running a business with P&L implications
  • Experience in collaborating across the enterprise to deliver business results
  • Track record of successfully developing and executing Go-To-Market strategy
  • Strong executive presence and ability to lead and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, grow, and operate greenfield market opportunities
  • Proven skillset in translation of industry / client themes and trends into actionable strategy, partnering effectively with a wide range of internal and external constituents
  • A customer orientation which allows him/her to solicit, acquire, and act on information from customers concerning their current and future needs, issues, and challenges

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree minimum and graduate degree preferred
  • 15+ years of related experience including 10+ years as part of a global leadership team
  • Proven experience successfully recruiting and building world class teams
  • Ability to make tough decisions, to change and adapt quickly, while remaining focused on customers and executing business initiatives
  • Experience managing a large portfolio of clients and building senior level relationships
  • Ability to lead, prioritize and execute on multiple, simultaneous priorities and initiatives
  • Strong management background; ability to work both tactically and strategically
  • A strong leadership profile coupled with outstanding verbal and written communications.
  • Superb business judgment and ability to think through complex business issues.
  • Critical assessment capability -ability to maintain a very high bar and drive excellence in work products, services, hiring, etc.

Salary Range:
$225,000 - $337,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
