The Global Head of Liquidity Management reports directly to the Global Treasurer and is a critical role in State Street's Treasury organization. The incumbent oversees the development, implementation and management of State Street's first line liquidity management, monitoring, analysis, and reporting globally. He/she is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing State Street's actual and projected liquidity position, in line with internal risk metrics as well as regulatory requirements and expectations. The incumbent also directly leads the bank's engagements with key external stakeholders such as the Federal Reserve, European Central Bank (ECB) and major rating agencies to provide appropriate governance and oversight of the banks' capital position and strategies.

What you will be responsible for

Management of the Liquidity Management team requires extensive knowledge of all critical Treasury functions as well as a deep understanding of State Street's businesses and inherent risk profile. He/she is responsible for leading the development, implementation and management of State Street's liquidity assessment and management frameworks globally, including the design and build of the operational and analytical infrastructure needed to comply with the liquidity requirements promulgated by the Federal Reserve, FDIC and other regulators globally. These requirements include compliance with the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), and Internal Liquidity Stress Testing (ILST), and liquidity data governance, both in the US and in all jurisdictions in which we have branches and material entities. The incumbent is also responsible for all liquidity related Recovery and Resolution Planning requirements, such as Resolution Liquidity Adequacy and Positioning (RLAP) and Resolution Liquidity Execution Need (RLEN).

The incumbent is responsible for leading senior relationships with Enterprise Risk Management to establish appropriate and representative limits, guidelines, and analytical measurements and processes, and to report exposures and limit compliance to all relevant internal committees, the Risk Committee of the Board and regulators in a timely manner. This person will closely collaborate with the other functional leaders in Global Treasury as well as lead interactions with Finance, Global Delivery, Global Operations, Investor Relations, and Regulatory and Industry Affairs. Externally, the incumbent will be the primary contact with senior policy making and supervisory officials of the Federal Reserve, FDIC and other regulators globally. Keen analytical skills and ability manage complex projects with specific deadlines and deliverable are required.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in bank Treasury or directly related risk management area with a minimum of 5 years in liquidity
  • Thought leader with a track record of developing and implementing well-controlled business processes

Salary Range:
$225,000 - $337,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
