EMEA Custody Cash Payment Analyst (SME), Senior Associate

An excellent opportunity has arisen at the Senior Associate (SME) level within EMEA Custody Cash Poland, which involves carrying out a high risk function within the operation. The successful candidate's responsibilities primarily include the timely and accurate processing specific activities performed in the areas of Cash Operations. The Payment Analyst acts as the main point of contact for all other supporting functions and is responsible for analyzing information, monitoring and resolving queries received from external parties.

What you will be responsible for:

As EMEA Custody Cash Payment Analyst (SME) you will:

  • Act as an expert of an operating team providing support and control over complex and time critical instructions.
  • Verify timely and accurately cash instructions in accordance with Fund/internal and external clients deadlines, operating procedures and legal regulations.
  • Ensure effective risk management by coordinating or completing end of day management reporting and ensuring timely escalation and resolution of pertinent issues.
  • Participate as technical SME in the development, testing and implementation of new systems to increase productivity through the usage of information systems and other tools
  • As assigned process and/or resolve complex issues such as, but not limited to, instruction discrepancies, market standards and exception resolution.
  • Assist and co-ordinate procedural changes to the current process. Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal policies and procedures.
  • Identify areas where a process can be automated
  • Provide training, coaching and mentoring to other team members
  • Assist managers by prioritizing the workload and ensure daily tasks are completed
  • Provide coverage in the absence of team member or First Line Manager.
  • Collaborate with appropriate teams globally to ensure consistent service delivery client solutions and client satisfaction

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in asset servicing domain specialized in cash custody processing
  • An excellent understanding of the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of market standards including SWIFT (MT, ISO20022), CHAPS, FedWire, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of internal payment systems, including IIP, Cedacri.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Communicative Italian is an advantage but is not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package
  • Experience in supervising a team is an advantage but is not essential.
