Portfolio Specialist on the Fixed Income Portfolio Strategist Team located at State Street's Channel Center Building in Boston MA
The Fixed Income Portfolio Strategist team has deep expertise in fixed income markets and fixed income products at State Street Global Advisors. We collaborate with a number of teams across the organization to enable our clients and prospects to achieve their financial goals. We are experts in indexed, active and systematic fixed income, cash and currency strategies
Portfolio Specialists are high-energy and organized individuals. Our specific skills include:
- Serving as internal subject matter experts for Fixed Income, we work closely with portfolio management teams to understand how changes in portfolios and markets impact performance.
- We support the development of custom solutions and provide benefit-oriented content to support existing clients, consultants and new business prospects.
- We partner with our distribution colleagues to develop new business opportunities and to support the existing institutional client base
- We share knowledge with our clients by developing relevant and high quality thought leadership and investment content.

Candidate Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a BA/BS or similar degree and will have some combination of the following:
Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of and intellectual curiosity in Fixed Income
- 5-10 years investment experience
- Experience working with institutional client relationships
- Masters degree or CFA is preferred, or progress towards
Technical Skills:
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills are required, in particular the ability to analyze and evaluate financial, economic and competitive data and present findings
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg, eVestment, Morningstar
- Proficient in macro economics, capital markets and the competitive landscape
Fundamental Skills:
- Highly motivated and ability to multitask
- Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Problem solving: creative thinking and process improvements
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to develop client facing material
- Very comfortable working in a collaborative culture across a range of fixed income strategies
- In a fast-paced, team-oriented environment a sense of humor is always a plus!

$90,000 - $142,500 Annual
