What you will be responsible for

As Financial Reporting Associate 2 you will:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting requirements for a variety of Fund structures and Canadian clients (including Schedules of Investments, Statements of Financial Positions, Statements of Comprehensive Income, Statements of Changes in Net Assets, Statements of Cash Flows, Management Report of Fund Performance, and Notes for Financial Statements)
  • Participate in external and internal audits
  • Participate in the implementation of process improvement opportunities.
  • Manage the process of updating and maintaining the Excel based financial statement templates and database information related to client specific reporting.
  • Communicate regularly with internal business units as required, and to provide financial reporting updates to clients.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree1-2 year experience in the investment fund industry with financial reporting experience required
  • Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and Access)
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Superior attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Working knowledge of Canadian Fund Reporting and Regulatory Environment requirements outlined under IFRS and NI81-106 preferred
