Who we are looking for

State Street is seeking an Assistant Vice President level employee to join the Regulatory Reporting Governance (RRG) team. The RRG team is responsible for the governance and oversight over regulatory reporting. Some of the key responsibilities for the RRG team include: providing regulatory reporting focused training, enhancing internal controls, change management, highlighting issues and/or reporting metrics to senior management, monitoring regulatory reporting related policies, and other ad hoc regulatory reporting projects, such as liaising with reporting teams and other cross-functional teams for enterprise data governance. This position will provide visibility to regulatory reporting and beyond, since the RRG team works with numerous functions with State Street to drive changes in the regulatory reporting process.

What you will be responsible for

  • Assist in the execution of the governance framework over regulatory reporting globally
  • Create and deliver trainings to relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the regulatory reporting accountability framework and assist in the administration of the accountability policy
  • Review process documentation
  • Develop and run workshops to stakeholders on key controls (Variance Analysis, Reconciliation and Manual Adjustments)
  • Track and communicate changes that impact regulatory reporting, including report instructions, new products, GL, legal entities, etc.
  • Compile and analyze performance metrics as part of the regulatory reporting scorecard framework
  • Monitor and present regulatory reporting issues in a meaningful way, including analyzing and summarizing status from various sources
  • Assist preparation of materials to be presented at the quarterly All Hands Meetings
  • Build strong, long-term relationships throughout State Street organization
  • Participate in all internal audits, and assurance reviews

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ progressive years working experience in accounting or regulatory reporting functions in a financial institution
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting and/or finance
  • External Fed reporting experience a plus
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to liaise with and influence senior subject matter experts
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must demonstrate sense of ownership and accountability for work
  • Ability to multiple task and work within tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
  • Promotes teamwork, works collaboratively, and builds effective working relationships
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to junior team members
  • Strong interpersonal, quantitative and analytical skills and a high proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint

Salary Range:
$90,000 - $142,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
