What we value

The European Shareholder Services Team, as a part of Investment Operations unit, administers incoming client instructions relating to subscription and redemption activity for portfolios managed globally by SSGA. The team is responsible for the verification, accurate, timely processing and onward communication of these instructions to the SSGA Investment Management team.

The Shareholder Services team within SSGA Poland is an extension to the SSGA Shareholder Services team globally (London, Dublin, Sydney, Boston). The team consists of 7 professionals with local management structure.

The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert within the team, assuming responsibility on variety of business processes with elements of Transfer Agency & Client Service.

This role is performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

Working hours:

10:30 - 18.30 Polish time (with additional allowance)

The Functions of the role include:

  • Processing of subscription and redemption activity into SSGA systems.
  • Ensuring all instructions received from Clients are aligned with SSGA's instruction procedures and security controls.
  • Investigation of any reconciliation exceptions related to subs and reds activity.
  • Providing Portfolio Management with accurate information on daily subscription/redemption activity
  • Anti-money laundering / suspicious activity monitoring controls.
  • Data analysis and report design.
  • Ongoing implementation and maintenance of standard operating processes and procedures.
  • Support a culture of effective challenge to evolve daily operational processes, recommend and implement changes and deliver continuous improvement.
  • Maintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity within the business and ensure compliance with industry practice, company policies, statute, and regulatory requirements in all matters.
  • Collaborate with team members in other sites to ensure that operating model is consistent and to share standard methodology.
  • Participate in key projects to improve efficiencies and re-evaluate processes.

Level of Education:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) with a financial or analytical discipline preferred.
  • Very good English, other languages are an advantage.
  • Proven MS Excel skills
  • Coding experience (VBA, Python) is a strong asset

Previous Level of Experience:

  • At least 5 years of industry experience within operations unit. Transfer Agency, Middle Office experience is desirable,
