    An experienced risk professional, who have worked in Financial Services industry or Investment banks who can support in overall implementation of the Risk Management framework for State Street India, in accordance with regulatory expectations and ERM policies and guidelines. The candidate is responsible for the Second Line Risk oversight for State Street India's Risk landscape.

    What you will be responsible for

    As a Vice President in Enterprise Risk Management, you will

    • Drive effective risk governance within the State Street, India.
    • As part of Enterprise Risk Management Team, primary responsibility will be risk oversight of business functions - Transfer Agency, Middle Office, Global Business Integration etc .May also support teams, wherever required, for risk oversight of other business functions
    • Work with senior business executives to understand and manage enterprise and operational risks and assist in mitigating/reducing the risks
    • Provide independent challenge from second line of defense to risk assessment programs performed by First Line of Defence teams
    • Identify emerging risk if any by monitoring/observing trends in key risk indicators/incident management
    • Lead and drive the execution of risk programs and strategic risk projects
    • Drive effective Risk Control Self-Assessment Program and provide second line challenge to mitigate the gaps if any
    • Review the quarterly risk reports, risk dashboards and India Risk Reports and assist in providing comments to the risk trends
    • Participate in Material Risk Incident calls with First Line and Business
    • Provide enhanced governance on repetitive risk incidents and assess any potential risk
    • Co-ordinate and manage risk governance committee including setting the agenda in coordination with Head of ERM and preparation of governance committee packs
    • From a second line of defense perspective, provide effective review, challenge and risk dialogue for better decision making and risk mitigation.
    • Aggregate and monitor risk exposures across India. Escalate significant and above tolerance risks to India and Global Risk Committees.
    • Apply State Street's Operational Execution suite of risk program across India to deliver better risk

    • Coordinate with Business on risk mitigation efforts in response to high impact operational risk events, including investigation and advice on the design of effective remediation plans.
    • Promote a strong risk culture in State Street India, including awareness and compliance with ERM policy requirements.

    • Develop a good understanding of the business and organization as a foundation for effective

    • Lead or support global, regional and India level ERM projects.

    • Experience in executing risk projects
    • Experience working in Risk Advisory practice with Big 4 firms would be an added advantage.

    Education & Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent. MBA or CA qualified would be ideal
    • Minimum of 10 + years risk experience and 15+ years of financial institutions experience
    • Relevant professional qualifications in risk management a plus
    • Proficiency in MS office suite, knowledge on Tableau would be preferred
