We are currently hiring for a leadership role within State Street Global Advisors Americas Wealth Group. In this role, you will manage a team of external wholesalers in an effort to build relationships with top financial advisors in the Broker Dealer Channel as well as provide valuable client solutions to assist advisors in growing their business using State Street's investment products. You should be recognized as a reliable and trusted advisor and champion the Americas Wealth Group agenda. The Divisional Sales Manager will influence internally by providing feedback and intelligence on market trends, competitor positioning and evolving client requirements enabling and cultivating strong relationships within and across the State Street Global Advisors organization.

You will be responsible for leading, mentoring and developing a talent base of roughly 10 Regional Consultants spanning from Associate Vice President to Vice President.

Position responsibilities:

  • You will develop and retain required talent for execution of the sales plan
  • You will motivate the team to be recognized as the highest performing distribution team, industry-wide
  • You will manage individuals' careers and act as a mentor for their long-term growth
  • You will orchestrate a team selling process, applying expertise and resources across State Street Global Advisors
  • You will establish a clear sales funnel and related pipeline management to deliver against the plan
  • You will refine a tracking and reporting methodology, with metrics that enhance team effectiveness and permit simple partner reporting, including accurate and timely CRM use
  • You will operate within a budget, while maximizing time and resources
  • You will identify the needs of our clients varying business practices and regularly provide meaningful market insights, product information, investment ideas and sales support
  • You will maintain a deep understanding of State Street Global Advisors portfolio management expertise and our product line's features and benefits
  • You will personally own strategic partner and center of influence relationships
  • You will cultivate new and existing relationships, and drive SSGA Net New Revenue and Net New Assets with the highest areas of concentrated wealth within the channel
  • You will be responsible for leading and coordinating travel throughout the Region with various partner firms and index providers including Nuveen, Blackstone/GSO, World Gold Council, DoubleLine Capital, MSCI, and S&P
  • You will build and maintain relationships with key internal business partners.
  • You will partner with an Internal Sales Team to effectively deliver ETF resources to clients, including comparative analytics, capital markets insights and actionable investment ideas
  • You will deliver risk excellence and comply with the sales supervision culture that demonstrates and promotes the highest ethical standards
  • You will demonstrate initiative to continuously hone sales skills and pursue professional development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Series 7 and 63 licensed
  • Series 24 required within 3-6 months
  • Investment industry designations such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) desired
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the investment management industry with 5 years in Sales/Business Development
  • Strong product knowledge of ETFs and mutual funds
  • Self-motivated individual that can work both independently and within a team structure
  • Demonstrates integrity; highly motivated to succeed
  • Industry experience and track record of results
  • Strong investment product skills
  • Strong technical ability with investment industry knowledge
  • Extraordinary verbal and written communication and sales presentation skills

Salary Range:
$135,000 - $210,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
