Role Description

As the Data Governance Analyst, you will play a key in execution of global Data Governance Strategy initiatives, which will help drive cultural as well as practical change in our approach to management of data. This role is part of Enterprise Data Governance and Management ( EDGM ) team and contributes to the fundamental understanding of how State Street creates and uses enterprise data and assists our business functions in achieving their data goals.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be key member of Data Governance Implementation program for the enterprise, that includes all aspects of metadata management, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Data stewardship tools and platforms.
  • You will contribute or lead on green-field implementation of DG processes on Collibra, Manta, BigId
  • You will be part of Data Domain Assessments and Data Taxonomy initiative, that includes building of robust Business Glossary for the enterprise.
  • You will help monitor data quality processes, identifying data quality issue patterns, applying remediation plans, implementation of data controls, and manage data quality remediation strategies within Data Governance Platform.
  • Maintain Program documentation and update operating procedures as necessary.

Job Requirements.

  • Strong hands-on working experience on Data Governance tools like Collibra, Manta, BigID, IBM IGC is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of business glossary and data dictionaries in the global capital markets.
  • Implementation experience on DG use cases like Lineage, workflow, Catalogue, reporting, DQ.....
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and analysis on data and meta-data
  • Foundational knowledge of Visualization/Business Intelligence tools ( i.e. Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI )
  • Ability to communicate clearly and precisely with Data Stewards, Data Architects of varying levels of seniority
  • Ability to write and maintain Data Governance operating procedures and documentation.
  • 5-12 years of Technology, Business, Data Governance and management experience.
