Who we are looking for

As a Data Analytics Auditor, Officer of State Street Corporation's Audit Division, you will be part of a team where collaboration is encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is valued. This position is within State Street Bank International (SSBI) GmbH, where we work with our stakeholders to deliver data-based analytical insights, assurance and solutions. The expectation from the role is to drive the design, development, and execution of audit analytics projects by integrating with the business and technology audit teams covering specific core State Street businesses.

Within the SSBI Corporate Audit Team, you will work collaboratively with our business audit teams to manage project delivery and to conduct data analytics resources and help to deliver our strategic objectives. This Data Analytics role is integrated into the audit function and assists in leveraging data as an asset throughout the audit lifecycle. The role is to support the SSBI Audit team covering projects across several European locations. This role is important to us because you will be responsible for executing full portfolio of analytics including audit plan support, continuous auditing initiatives, and reusable analytic reports and tools.

This role can be based out of Milan in Italy, Frankfurt/Munich in Germany or Krakow/Gdansk in Poland, and can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As a Data Analytics Auditor, Officer, you will

  • Participate in audits and perform data analytics-based control effectiveness testing. Participate in audits according to a risk-based approach, recommending control improvements that may include operational enhancements or efficiencies and preparing discussion matrix.
  • Perform data search and ad hoc analysis upon requests of business audit teams.
  • Perform data mining or analysis to generate analytical insights to help influence audit focus and coverage.
  • Build internal partnerships to provide opportunities for more efficient solutions to various data, system, and applications issues.
  • Be responsible for developing and compiling Data Analytics reports and ensure timely distribution.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, or Finance
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience at a financial services company or comparable experience working in an international environment.
  • Solid statistical knowledge and excellent data analytical, research and programming skills (e.g. Python, SQL, Tableau). 4+ years' working experience in data / statistical analysis, and / or reporting development experience (SAS, SQL, Business Objects, MS SQL Server, etc.)
  • A relevant programming, application or reporting development experience.
  • Knowledge of other programming languages is preferred (e.g., Alteryx, Hadoop).
  • Exposure to Artificial Intelligence and automation like text mining, machine learning is good to have.
  • Strong analytical mindset, project management skills, ability to influence cross-functionally in a rapidly evolving business environment while managing multiple / concurrent projects.
  • Advanced command of English; strong written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing skills.
  • Certification like SAS Certification, ACDA, CAP, CCP, CIA, CISA, CFE, PMP or other relevant discipline.
