State Street is seeking a credit risk professional to analyze Global Banks, Insurances, Broker-Dealers, Sovereign and Sovereign-owned entities. This analyst position will support a number of business areas, including Treasury, Global Markets, Fund Finance, Custody, and Network Management. The position will be a key part of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, providing a unique opportunity for an analyst to work in a dynamic risk management environment.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for
As a Credit Risk Analyst Financial Institutions you will:
- Assess the credit and financial strength of the firm's Financial Institution counterparties by performing fundamental credit analysis of both quantitative and qualitative credit factors
- Review existing and new transactions, ensuring relevant documentation and risk mitigants are in place
- Presenting and defend credit work and findings to credit colleagues, senior management, other internal stakeholders, and risk committees
- Proactively monitor and assess counterparties and industry subsectors and report relevant information and its impact to senior management in a concise and timely manner
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to promptly identify and resolve risk and control issues
- Assist with regulatory examinations and auditing tasks related to counterparty credit risk
- Assist with monitoring activities covering risk attribution analysis, material risk identification, and mitigation strategies

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field
- Min. 2-3 years of relevant work experience covering Financial Institutions (mainly banks, CCPs, broker-dealers)
- Additional Financial Institutions experience covering Insurance or Sovereigns would be an advantage
- Knowledge of derivatives, funding, and lending products and related trading and lending documentation is preferrable (i.e., ISDA/CSA, MRA, etc.)
- Familiarity with regulatory risk rating requirements and application of such guidance

- Strong communication skills with fluency in English
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with market information tools is also preferred
