Who we are looking for

The State Street AlphaSM Data / Global Exchange DataGX® team is seeking an experienced and versatile Client Service Manager with business and data analysis expertise to help us build and sustain our client's data capabilities and competitive advantage using the DataGX and Alpha services and product offerings. The successful candidate will have knowledge of tools and techniques used for efficient data management, an outstanding presentation and collaboration expertise as well as a strong client facing skillset. This role is part of broader GX Data Solutions service management team and the candidate will work directly with clients, implementation and operation teams, and Service Management leads based in London, Frankfurt, Edinburgh and Poland.

What you will be responsible for

In this role, you will:

  • Work as Primary Client Owner from an onboarding, operational delivery, governance and management perspective.
  • Support/manage client relationships via extensive interaction with client.
  • Ensure superior client satisfaction by managing expectations, proactively identifying client needs, and potential internal issues impacting client service.
  • Participate in client change management activities as needed, may liaise between parties to ensure successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with and support internal teams in maintaining service levels and addressing business issues; efficiently solve client problems and handle escalations.
  • Maintain functional and technical knowledge across finance, accounting and data management to enable handling of client inquiries.
  • Coordinate and work with Operations, DataGX/Alpha SME's and internal service providers to ensure optimal service delivery to the clients.
  • Manage service delivery to meet or exceed SLA and KPI levels.
  • Establish and run agreed periodic client reviews in the framework of the overall State Street client governance structure.
  • As part of the wider team, contribute on an overall DataGX or Alpha Data product enhancements and requirements.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree in the field of finance, computer science, data management or other technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in client service management, Financial Services or Data services. Strong client facing experience is a must.
  • Experience in Middle Office Operations, Transaction Management, Corporate Actions, Derivatives, Performance & Analytics, etc. will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) both internally and with client/prospects.
  • Fluent English is a must; Arabic language skills a plus.
  • Clear understanding of financial and investment operations.
  • Good technical skills, e.g. SQL, database design, multi-tenancy architecture, etc.
