Global Delivery is a critical part of the business operations at State Street. We have around 30,000 staff various locations around the world including our key hubs in EMEA, APAC and North America and our global hubs in China, Poland, and India.
Functionally, we are the backbone and nerve center supporting the entire investment servicing lifecycle across our key asset classes - Asset Management, Asset Owners, Insurance, Alternatives including PE, RE, Hedge, Official Institutions and a wide spectrum of investment servicing products.
We are looking to hire a Lead to manage the Issues and Incident management global team, part of the Global Delivery BRM Global Team.
While this role is advertised to be in Mumbai we are open to considering candidates who are based in any location where we have a significant presence in India.

The team you will be joining is a part of Global Delivery Business Risk Management (BRM) team which includes Assurance, Risk, Controls and Assessment activities, Governance, Operational Risk Management and incident analysis, Compliance Program implementation, Risk Metrics, Event Management, Policy and regulatory change and Information Security.
Who we are looking for
This role requires an experienced operation risk manager with more than 12 years' experience in similar financial services and/or risk management roles. Candidates with experience in managing global teams are preferred. The successful candidate will report to the Global Delivery Business Risk management (BRM) Issues, Incidents and RCSA Global Lead and form part of a global risk management team operating in locations across State Street's global footprint.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- University Degree or equivalent
- More than 18 year experience in various financial services roles
- Leading a team
- Operational Risk Management experience or qualifications

- Role will require some time in local office and some travel will be expected.
What you will be responsible for
Critical business priorities:
As Business Risk Management (BRM) Lead for Incidents, Issues management, you will
- Lead a team of risk managers responsible to manage incidents and issues supporting business functions within Global Delivery.
- Focus on
- Analysing and reporting on issues and incidents within the organization
- Driving a risk culture of timely identification, escalation and resolution of issues and incidents
- Managing the risk self-assessment process across GD, ensuring all high risk areas have remediation plans in place or risk is being mitigated to an acceptable level.
- Delivering core risk initiatives and programs
- Providing support to BRM Business functional leads as relates to area of responsibility
- Contribute to the overall strategy of the BRM Function collaborating across the global function with functional leads, regional leads and legal entity leads
- Acting as a valued partner to the Global Delivery business functions and the other BRM pillars in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risk
- Ability to worth with the GD BRM Leadership team on global projects.
- Proven leader with the ability to work in ambiguity and be able to understand and translate risk and control requirements
- Establish positive relationships with key functional teams and leaders within first line of defense business lines. Develop same with Operational Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit.
- Lead meetings and discussions regarding Incident/Issue Management and first line Business Risk
- Build strong relationships with other Business Risk Management, Compliance, ERM, Audit, Legal and/or business colleagues; collaborate to achieve organizational goals
- Continuously develop deep knowledge of core products, process, financial markets, technology, regulatory obligations and operating model changes; understand impact to your role and responsibilities
- Change agent mentality with the business acumen to interact with senior business stakeholders across the global organization possessing the ability to offer creative solutions to meet all party requirements
- Proven track record in leading and driving risk and control strategies

The candidate for the Issues and Incident lead role will possess and/or be able to demonstrate:
- Over 18 years' experience within financial services or risk management (in Non-Financial risk management or Business Management)
- Experience interfacing at a senior level with clients, service providers and regulators.
- Strong team leadership, coaching, mentoring, communication and presentation skills
- An ability to think strategically, managing complexity, change and multiple priorities
- A relevant graduate degree or masters qualification that can be leveraged in this role
