Why this role is important to us
Investment Services is the front-end of State Street, responsible for the securities services business. Working directly for the Chief of Staff to the President of Investment Services, this role will oversee the entire Investment Services Business Management process, collecting and integrating essential data across the division, organizing business reviews and oversighting the team providing management reporting, business intelligence and key performance metrics.

As IS Business Performance Manager, you would be responsible for a wide range of strategic, operational, and administrative activities that will drive operational data management and executive reporting, potentially including but not limited to data mapping, analytics, quality control, dashboarding.   • Own the business management process, coordinating the periodic business review of the various business units (BUs) inside Investment Services (IS)
  • Working with the IS senior managers, set the goals and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for the main BUs, defining related leading versus lagging indicators, key performance indicators and key risk indicators
  • Oversee the activity and outcome of the business intelligence teams, including overseeing market intelligence and business intelligence teams in India to integrate business context analysis with the inputs they provide, ensuring quality of results
  • Track performance, uploading OKR on our performance management tool, in collaboration with the software provider, and organizing periodical business reviews across all functions of IS, to evaluate the status of progress against the stated objectives
  • Prepare the management reporting needed to represent the IS business at the quarterly business reviews; anticipate additional upcoming reporting requirements, be responsive to on-going feedback, and actively seek out enhancements based on improved data and functionality when available
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the IS organization to provide support on reporting development, driving engagement with State Street Corporate functions to ensure that all reports are aligned to the golden source of data and reduce or eliminate manual adjustments
  • Develop and maintain the IS Dashboard, coordinating with the BU executive managers, their staff and other stakeholders to obtain requirements and iterate materials and visualizations to achieve required line of sight
  • Identify opportunities to streamline management reporting across the IS organization, integrating new applications/tools/processes to enhance the efficiency and engagement around reporting dashboards
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and thought leader on Business Management, OKRs and Management Reporting across State Street

Required Education & Qualifications

  • MBA o equivalent
  • Green Belt Sig Sigma certification or higher
  • 10+ years of experience in the financial industry, of which at least 5 spent in a global complex company
  • Understanding of the Asset Management, Insurance and Asset Servicing industries
  • Proved multi-year experience in Market Intelligence, Strategy, Client Analytics and MIS
  • Ability to summarize complex matters in simple executive messaging
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, data analytics and reporting tools
  • Advanced capabilities in MS Office (notably PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
  • At least 3 year proved experience with Salesforce and Bloomberg platforms; Workboard a plus
  • Highly collaborative work style and ability to effectively work with leaders who have a range of management styles
  • Organizational skills and ability to simultaneously manage a wide range of activities
  • Sound judgment with regards to matters of significance
  • Motivated team player with a great sense of humor

Salary Range:
$90,000 - $142,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
