Role Summary & Role Description

Chief Data Office (CDO) - Global Technology Solutions at State Street has a mandate to govern and report on data health across the enterprise. CDO is rolling out multiple initiatives and operating model changes to execute these initiatives and generate value for our internal and external clients.

We are looking for qualified candidates with experience primarily focused on Client data analysis use cases, while delivering analytics insights and storyboards to various stakeholders

Work you'll do:

  • Requirements Gathering, Analysis and Elicitation for client data projects to answer specific business questions about our Clients


  • Develop requirements working with various stakeholder groups on Client data use cases like Profiling and Segmentation, trends and forecasts on Client Profitability, Client Service scores, incident analysis, Client Product business recommendations etc

  • Map business data requirements to their sources, and suggest data models for further data consumption and distribution


  • Sample/export data from multiple source systems on different technical platforms(via SQL queries/TOAD etc)


  • Analyze a variety of data sources/formats, document required transformations and controls on the data elements to be fit for analytical data lakehouses or data warehouses


  • Develop BRD/user stories, business and data procedures, source to target mappings, DQ rules and related documentation for the data products being developed [including operations, user guides, functional specs etc.]


  • Proactively collaborate with Business stakeholder, IT/data engineering team members, business users and implementation team along the project lifecycle, understanding the impacts that may have on downstream use cases, analytical models and data product/process deliverables


  • Deliver in complex deadline-oriented environment and multi-task on multiple projects concurrently with little supervision.

Core/Must have skills

  • Client and Financial Investment/Securities Data Requirements Analysis from structured and unstructured data sources


  • Experience in Data Transformation requirements from source applications to target Data Lakes and creating Logical data model for business consumptions


  • Data querying / SQL experience for sample data collections and analysis


  • Agile SDLC processes for manage and deliver requirements across sprints and releases


  • Excellent communication, articulation and stakeholder management skills

Good to have skills

Knowledge on Cloud data platform and tool like AWS/Databricks

  • Awareness of UI/UX prototype builds
